  1. Interesting topic you guys are discussing, it was like being in 2 different countries today and sometimes only 10 miles apart. Left home in Leigh On Sea this morning and fields still have a healthy cover which is not going anywhere. Around Lakeside where I work there is no snow cover left, had a few deliveries in Chelmsford and it is really snowy there with snow on the side roads and deeper snow in the gardens. When I delivered in Brentwood it was much deeper still than even Chelmsford. Got onto the A12 and by the time I was on the outskirts of Romford only 4 miles from Brentwood there was zero snow cover left. Temps as well were all over the place with 1-2c in Brentwood and 4-5c in places with no snow cover.
  2. GFS is interesting at the moment, would not be too sure about raging zonality for the rest of the month - Blocks are stubborn it certainly one to watch
  3. Been constant and heavy now for 90 minutes and adding up nicely in the garden. Was never marginal down here at any point, was -1c at 9am and still around 0.1c with -2c Dewpoint. Trees have that Alpine look to them.
  4. Still heavy snow falling and not a breath of wind. It is a truly winter wonderland out there. Going over to Belfairs Woods to get some pics in a bit
  5. Snow on its way out now but great event here especially for where we are in relation to the marginality. 5-7am Heavy Rain 7-9am Heavy Snow Then a 10 minute period of rain and been all snow ever since. Lets see what tonight and tomorrow brings
  6. Back to Snow here Southend is a slushfest but can confirm Rayleigh and Hockley have a lot of proper decent snow so you dont have to drive far
  7. How bizarre is that, now the pivot has started and its moving South its all rain now, just shows how crucial the wind direction is in these instances!
  8. Still heavy snow falling in Leigh On Sea which is about 9 miles from the guy who has a rainfest in Linford, amazing differences!
  9. I have a feeling this could fall all as snow here in SE Essex. Temp -1c and Dewpoint -2c - Nothing marginal about it here Just picked up daughter from sleepover and its awful on the roads, it looks like a winter wonderland though
  10. Yh worrying that the Southern Part has turned back to rain already - lets see where the Pivot Point is, guessing Herts is JACKPOT Zone!
  11. Very sleety in Leigh On Sea Just some slushy mess on the grass at the moment, nothing to get excited about, and hopefully can drive further afield today to find some proper sledging snow - Woohoo
  12. Yh already got the Brother In Laws Land Rover ready to head to Weald Park! See you there for a snowball fight!
  13. Lol Hows your luck, no weather down here then nothing to see - Miss out on the Yellow Wind and Yellow Snow and in the Void!
  14. Well temp and dp are not great this end of Essex. Currently 1.8c and 0.7c on the Dp so if anything falls would expect it as rain currently. No sign of frost and patchy cloud above.
  15. Damn You Dan Holley Did you remember my address and put your Pink marker pen through the top of it - Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
  16. Lol Then there is no point having the intense precip over us then, might as well be light and patchy and move onto the Easterlies in January.........................Next Although as Steve says if the Low exits Kent/sussex border then we could be in the middle or just north of the low in light winds
  17. Would not think that will mattter Steve if you get that intense Red Blob over your head, will drag the freezing level down quite nicely
