  2. great check list Jemma often forgotten in the moment by most. i do expect issues with power supplies at some point if the cold really digs in for the long haul. One bit of good news is that UK Power Networks are already aware of the incoming weather and are liaising with the Met-O. If you are unlucky enough to suffer a power outage you can contact them 24/7 on 08003163105 Or just 105.

  9. just got to work, about 1cm current temp starting to give it a nice icy crust, all main routes open but side roads very icy.

  11. Very icy under thin layer of snow. untreated roads and lanes are treacherous, a few fender benders for the unwary this morning

  14. yes,very useful if we get the winter we all want but has a down side if the big pond takes control and delivers high winds
  15. great way to start my night shift "DAD I'M STUCK" wife "GO DIG HIM OUT ON YOUR WAY TO WORK" That apart was a lovely way to start the shift with a drive in the snow. Maniacs clogging up main routes so took the scenic way via lanes with virgin snow.

  19. Hell of a blizzard this morning, put down 10cm in just over75 mins. Usual idiots on the road, tank slits for viewing, lights completely covered over
