Another heavy snow shower has arrived here now! Each of these showers are starting to accumulate, we now have half an inch and its getting deeper. This is the 3rd snow shower since about 6pm and they are getting much more frequent. This is only the second day we have had any snow all winter, with a sprinkling tuesday morning from the last toppler and now this. To say Im happy is an understatement!

Heavy snow here now in Hedon, East Yorkshire, 10 miles away from the coast. Currently 0.8°C with a Dewpoint of -2.6°C.

Just had a light snow flurry here in Hedon, East Yorkshire. This is the second today, the first was at about 5am and left a dusting on the grass and cars.

A misty start, lifting by 10am then overcast with light rain at times. This evening has continued to be cloudy, but in the last few hours a few breaks in the cloud have appeared and allowed the temperatures to slowly fall. Today has been been mostly sunny with a small amount of cloud. This morning was very calm, with no wind at all, but a gentle SW breeze got up during the afternoon. The temperature started to fall in the early-evening, but has since started to rise again as the warm front passes over, along with some thicker cloud. Started off today with a light dusting on the ground from a few hail/snow showers last night. The morning was mostly sunshine and hail showers, some fairly heavy, although by 11am all signs of any dusting were long gone due to the sun. The rest of the day has been partly cloudy with some pleasant sun. Well what can I say, a disapointing day to say the least. Most of it was very sunny with thickening cloud and with a max temperature of 7.1°C you could be forgiven for thinking this isnt a northerly. By around 4pm the showers rolled in, and have continued on and off throughout the evening. Sadly all have been rain, and not even a hint of sleet. Today started off cloudy with light rain before turning brighter mid-morning. by midday it had once again clouded over with some light rain but not amounting to very much. At the moment it is mostly clear with a brisk NW wind blowing as it has done pretty much all day. Today started off cold, crisp and sunny but quickly clouded over at midday. From around 2pm onwards it started to rain, and has stayed overcast and wet since. The rain has sinced eased off, and the temperature has slowly started to rise again. A cloudy and misty start, but eventually this lifted to give some hazy sunshine. By nightfall it once again became overcast and misty. A cold start in the morning but becoming quite mild in the sun. A misty start then a crystal clear day with some nice sunshine, its starting to get misty again now and I expect a fog later. It has been slightly mild at a max of 8.5°C, but overall a pretty nice day. Almost felt like spring. Finally something different to report, 5 days of the same was driving me crazy! Today started mostly cloudy with a fine mist, by around midday the cloud had cleared completely and only the mist remained. Although fairly cold it felt quite pleasant in the sun, which stayed out uninterupted for some 4 hours, much better than that anticyclonic gloom. By around 5pm a thick fog also suddenly came over as the wind changed direction to the east, visibility was and still is less than 20m. However, the main thing this month will be remembered for is the total lack of ANY snow and the high minimum temperature extremes. Heres hoping February is somewhat better, as with a temp of 5.9°C, January 2005 is the warmest here since 1990.
