    Well I started the day feeling very despondent... 12 hours later and things suddenly look interesting.. Really hope we get a nationwide cold spell in Febuary..

    Exeter now talking mid month for a change to something more settled / colder.. I guess this means we need to be looking at beyond day 10 from a NWP perspective... All eyes on EPS / EC46 later ..

    Sickening 00z runs. What happened to a Nino / eQbo back loaded winter? this one is getting worse the closer we get to Feb. Yet again promising background drivers amount to nothing for Europe. You don't have to be Nostradamus to predict masses of high latitude blocking come April...

    So EC has mjo phase 7 for a wee while..that's got to be good news .. I'm sure something else will go wrong somewhere , it nearly always does.

    Yeah it's really hard being a coldie in this country Ali I looked at the 00zs and felt dejected straight away .. While we have cluster 1 we have hope but others probably feel as dejected as us. MJO might be our wildcard yet, let's hope things turn for the better ..
