    just seen someone complain on facebook of the lack of the 15+ cm they were apparently promised because it never happened and all the shops ordered in hundreds of sledges that they can't sell anymore

    there are a few reports on social media that are a good sign for those expecting decent accumulations coming up for the rest of the night.. but we can be snowless together maybe next time for us, eh

    weird, already frosty and icy up here! the ice started making a comeback about 6pm and formed very quickly, going to be another slippery day tomorrow around here.

    im in a few extreme weather groups on facebook and there's a lady with pictures from the isle of wight showing several cm or more even though it started off mostly rain for them!

    southern half of east anglia might catch a bit later on i'm guessing, further south the better seems to be the way its working tonight. i'd say a couple cm in lucky places maybe

    Was about to comment the same thing, magically dissipated amber warning in the past 5 minutes! Maybe moving it elsewhere.. maybe towards the southern parts of our region..?

    i have to admit, since i've seen you arrive on the forum the past few days i've seen about 30 of your posts/comments and a large majority of them seem to be negative, moans and complaints about no snow etc. i feel it may be giving a bad name to us in the north of the region as there's only few of us up this far north

    Not often you can say it's -4c at almost 10am right on the coast of norfolk! feeling bitter with a frost and thick fog hoping it stays much like this throughout the day as it's beautiful!

    bloody hell you must live in a freezer, our heating is always at 20 all winter, don't know how people survive with it lower!

    I agree that snow chances on our coastline are dire at the best of times, and with such lovely model output the past month i definitely expected us to get a dumping at some point obviously all hope isn't lost yet, and if we don't get a delivery til next winter i won't be as saddened as a normal winter after the freeze we endured last march that definitely satisfied me for the summer months

    as sad as it is to see that the chance for snow the rest of the week up here is next to none, i'm happy to see that some of you may get your share after a long old wait. from reading the last pages, whats this that i'm hearing about saturday risk? is this also south or is it another widespread?

    Back online and caught up with last nights pages, thanks all for the lovely snowy pics! Nice to see that it delivered well for some, and that more could be coming.. I say that for those in the south of the region, the accumulations by the weekend (including snow from last night) could be above 10cm fairly widespread if the upgrades continue like they have throughout today

    Have to applaud those who did forecasts for generally giving the widespread dusting/1-2cm correct with higher ground receiving more as that definitely seems to be exactly it so far!

    back to a rain/snow/mix now the front has passed by with a dusting on the back edge maybe more of this for an hour before its all over, going to be very very icy in the morning...

    very fine now in Hunstanton, don't think we'll get any further accumulation. probably stick around the same dusting we have now

    only light snow but pretty to watch and we have a dusting on everything but the pavement and road more then i expected so i'm pleased, hopefully this is a good sign for thursday..

    only been snowing two or so minutes and already settling on cars

    spoke to soon! less then a minute later and it's for the first time fully turned to snow!
