  1. And sixteen consecutive days at 32C or above will, I think, will stay top-of-the-league for many more years (if not decades).
  2. I think this stuff relates to weather models, though the moderators might disagree. Some peeps blame 'faulty software', others cite all sorts of problems arising from a human perspective; but, ultimately, it's mostly down to good old Chaos; simple equations (be they weather-related or not) involving feedback can create an almost unimaginable degree of complexity. I wonder whether the next generation of AI-/Machine Intelligence-based models will ever 'cut the mustard'.
  3. Indeed -- it'll take a few years' more warming for snow to become non-existent, IMO.
  4. Was that the same year that one or two NW peeps got it right, too? I've been right three times over the years. . . 1979, '86 and '87 were very helpful in that regard!
  5. Me too, but a lot'll depend on wind-direction: a tad more northerly and we'll be quids in; a touch more westerly and we'll see nothing.
  6. True. But it's the things that aren't 'in Nature' that worry me!
  7. But what about would-be MPs? It's just the bit where Nick Ferrari interviews Tice about the views of some of his candidates that's interesting: Climate Change, Covid-19, the war in Ukraine. . . are all scams or conspiracies:
  8. And if all that doesn't 'deliver', there must be something else that's coming into play. All we can do is learn.
