  1. So, the GFS 06Z is complete, and it looks as if (for the time being at least) the cold air is on the retreat: But at least the 15C 850s to our south look interesting!
  2. I guess you're right enough, Feb. . . some blocked and some not-so-blocked runs are on the menu.
  3. Same here, chaps and chapesses, it reminds me of a Christmas Eve in the 1960s (somewhere between 1963 and '67) when it was very cold, foggy and frosty all day. . . God, I was so excited! But unwrapping prezzies with rain running down the windows was a major disappointment; I can tell you!

  5. I remember seeing diamond dust in January 1985: it was a super-clear and sunny morning, and the stuff was sparkling in the sunlight as it fell.
