  1. A finger of fudge is just enough is give WUWT a treat?
  2. I don't know how, given that no-one can accurately forecast weather for more than a few days, anyone can write off December: it hasn't even started yet! And, on the subject bias - biases are like bottoms; we all have one. So please, can we not all be a tad more self-aware when castigating others, for theirs?
  3. Indeed not. Real forecasters would think of the consequences of making ridiculous guesses?
  4. You obviously read the wrong paper, fergieweather. http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/environment/britain-to-be-hit-by-entirely-typical-weather-201110174431
  5. Sense at last! Thanks Lorenzo...http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/environment/britain-to-be-hit-by-entirely-typical-weather-201110174431
  6. Oh dear, the forum list said: Amber Provides New Insights Into the Evolution of the Ear...
  7. Rightyho...This is not the place for weather-reports...Please post them into the appropriate thread...Anymore posted in here will be diverted into cyberspace.
  8. Come on folks - let's all behave...A MEOT (Mass Ejection of Toys) will not be welcome...It's getting colder and some parts will see some snow. Don't spoil it, eh?
  9. 100% agree with you, Mike...You'd have thought that 'Green Summits' would be the first to exploit video-conferencing technology? IMO, 100 individuals in 100 private jets, all converging on some exotic location in mid-Pacific, is hardly a good example!
  10. Still, with the the consensus continuing to get stronger, and Climategate becoming but a distant memory, we await the next big fabricated scandal to be unleashed...
  11. Which is why I'm with Ian, on this, Sparcky: just because the data are incomplete, doesn't imply that the conclusions drawn from them are erroneous...just that more research is necessary.
  12. Well, if people didn't base their expectations on the most outlandishly extreme model-runs, all this disappointment wouldn't occur?
  13. Because we all got sick and tired of deleting references/jibes relating to the Modern Winter...
  14. By 'incorrect', do you mean 'in the wrong direction altogether' or what? Any data set will have only a limited degree of accuracy, statistical probability of being representative of reality, or whatever...But, does that make all data sets 'incorrect', in the colloquial understanding of the word?
  15. Heard Corbyn interviewed on LBC this morning - usual drivel. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry!
  16. I've payed a passing visit too, Ian... http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/76448-scepticism-of-man-made-climate-change/page-38#entry2836163 Now, consider two perfectly calibrated Stevenson Screen in gardens next door but one...The one a #1, Wattsupwiththat Street records an overnight min of -2.2, the one at #5 -2.0...What would one 'guess' or 'fudge' for the garden at #3, -43.9!
  17. Well, what I'm hoping for - here in the Triangle of Doom - is thundery showers coming off the North Sea...
  18. Time for a sharp exit...Any more owl-attacks in Inversnecky City centre?
