  1. I don't want to put a spanner in the works but Tuesday looks increasingly hot! Hot air surging north from the Sahara. Wednesday could go out with a bang with some vicious thunderstorms.
  2. Great summary C.S. Remarkable contrasts in temperature from Nw to Se, from 10c up to 26c! Just shows the significance of wind direction.
  3. Yes let's hope we see something special before 168 hours. The highest temp recorded so far this year was 27.8 for the Uk. If we don't beat that then we are still on course for the least maximum temp for the Uk since at least 1900. We had 27.8 in 1962 also.
  4. Tomorrow sees a ridge building in, a fair day with light winds. A cool night to follow on Thursday though.
  5. A snapshot of the charts tomorrow, a day like today sunshine/showers. A fresher less humid feel once again. Longer term referring to Tamara's post for July is very helpful and educational explaining the current setup. Explains much
  6. Tamara said the other day that there has been 'some amplification of Tropical convection' and mentioned this weekend looking possibly better. This is certainly on cue. Let's hope this warmth can last with the start of July seeing a rise in Glamm. A cause for modest optimism alluded by the models
  7. For those of us who find the humidity too much but still like sunshine there's good news Wednesday and Thursday with a Fresher WNw airmass. I personally am a fan of the PM in winter.
  8. It's nice to see Knockers red crayon in action next weekend. Hopefully sunshine also and could make a great weekend next week
  9. Some good news from the Jet stream charts, Tuesday then Saturday. At least we haven't got it running straight across the Uk. Saturday is more of what we want to see, on the right side for warmth
  10. The Rise in pressure and warm up for next weekend well brought out on these ensembles
  11. Is it still possible other 'weather players' could override this Low GLAMM state? For example the Azores high ridging in next weekend as the Models predict and to our surprise brings a settled 2 week period or would this be considered impossible? Thank you for putting time in for such a great post.
  12. I know others have mentioned already but could this become more of a trend Let's hope Knocker has to bring out his red crayon
  13. Yes the ensembles looking like the temperatures may pick up too
  14. As I woke first thing a cool stillness would be in the air and a light mist as I looked out the window. Temperatures had fallen to 5c as dawn approached. Soon the mist disappeared to be followed by glorious sunshine and the temperature soon soared responding to well. High alto-cirrus would pass along from time to time to paint a serene peaceful sky. By afternoon it was 17c. As dusk started to develop a light red would fill the western horizon followed by the brightest stars starting to twinkle in a backdrop of the dark blue. So ended a glorious warm Aprils day as bird songs gradually vanished into the darkness.
  15. Hopefully there's still time, maybe August to see this, a block of HP. If only
  16. Saturday we draw in a long stretch from the Sw. Reminds me of Dec 15 which had this meandering Jet through the month.
  17. Tomorrow's chart A lovely reminder of what Summer is all about. Sunshine and a light breeze. P.s thank you once again Frosty
  18. This evenings ECM longer term isn't too bad. The continuing battle of HP to the south potentially building north and LP travelling east over the Atlantic towards Iceland. I'm hoping Knockers charts will support HP to the south pushing north from mid July. There's certainly potential for a settled spell. Just hopefully LP won't be pushed east but away Ne.
  19. Yes well said. Frosty is very positive. Knocker gives balance then with the Noaa, Eps etc.
  20. Yes Frosty would love to see this! When Knockers on your side too i think we'll be in the money. I might frame that chart, a nice one for the living room
  21. Yes 18c outside at night would be if the day was warmer than 21c. After last years spanish plume event it was 25.5c inside my house and fell no lower than 22.5c inside at night which was a bit too much for getting too sleep but fine when i woke in the morning. That was with outdoor temps of about 15c but 2 hot days.
  22. Evening Thunder's anomaly is insane. He must have been on for a record with them sort of figures.
