Absolute washout and sunless once AGAIN, be interested to see the sunshine figures for this month, I reckon less than 20 hours for here, maybe even 10.
Mild and muggy earlier 13.5c max but fell back to 6.6c now.
How can the sun only come out twice in 29 days for more than a minute, never even though it was possible to have a month with 27 (make it 28 after today and tomorrows relentless grot) sunless days. This is not Torshavn!!
Any clear skies have come at night and vanished by 8am.
I know this is November but this has been the darkest, dullest month I can ever remember, even the weekend 'crisp cold spell' filled with thick haze by midday Saturday and the sun never even bothered Sunday
Where's the crisp sunny weekend?!!?! of course mild upper's spoiled the fun here but was expecting at least a sunny/frosty weekend to make up for it...nope sun lasted a few hours then unforecast mid/upper level haze rolled in and frost risk vanished for tonight.
A waste of time here shock horror, had a 5 minute flurry yesterday evening then nothing since, new year same Shropshire curse.
And to top it off anything tonight will be of rain as the usual last minute 'warm sector' rears its ugly head.
That late March 2013 snow event was the best here since the 90's, Nov/Dec 2010 cold spells really didn't deliver much snow wise here, would be nice to finally see a proper Cheshire Gap streamer this year again as last winter despite it happening on numerous occasions it was always gone by morning and followed by rain/mild upper's.
YUCK, 8.9c all day and thick fog with a howling breeze, how can it be foggy and windy?
To think got excited last week thinking we were on to an exceptional spell of warmth for time of year.
A balmy high of 17.5c today despite a lack of sunshine once again (did briefly appear around lunchtime but was grim by work finish again).
Still 15.5c at the minute and around 16/17c around West Wales/NW England, here's hoping for sunshine tomorrow!
Better beach weather showing up for West Wales this Sunday than any Sunday in the Spring/Summer
19c being shown there on GFS!
In the meantime grotty wet start, should hit 17c later.
Indeed the 10c+ 850hPa isotherm looks set to be over here more in the next week than it was the entire summer.
Always seems to flip into tropical upper's mode from around 25th Sept onwards every year.
Last Halloween was completely sunless and misty here all day despite 17c max, hopefully this weekend will be sunny providing decaying front stays west Sat.
Just checked back in briefly and lord have mercy give us some sunshine to, after such a promising start it's been unbelievably grey recently with day after day after day of no sunshine or daylight.
