  1. It’s been a mostly pleasant week in this part of the world though the weekend looks bad and next week also.
  2. This is where I’m at. I don’t like any of the changes. If it’s not broke don’t fix it - seems to be one of the hardest concepts to follow in the modern age.
  3. Don’t have “popular posts” then. It’s not like Facebook here surely?
  4. I think it’s pointless. The forum is mostly cordial most of the time. I see this option as sowing discord. But that’s just my view, feel free to agree or disagree
  5. No idea how it’s happened because I’ve banned myself from looking at output, but it’s been a dry sunny day here
  6. I flew back from Portugal yesterday and the dividing line and front you describe was very obvious from the air. It was completely clear up until around Porto and then shortly after the grey /white wall lasted all the way through the Bay of Biscay before entering our UK trough characterised by tall skyscraper nimbus clouds and instability. Nice pics of Porto flying over and Dragon River
  7. I get that. It’s just that in a country with our climate I’d pick the predictable UK high over the unpredictable plume 10 times out of 10.
  8. Yes I agree, the obsession with plumes and record breaking temperatures is weird. Give me a good old UK High that hangs around for a week or two with temperatures in mid high twenties. What’s not too like? Plumes are like gambling away what you can’t afford. You may get get a bit lucky but then the whole thing falls to pieces.
  9. 2021 was amazing in Northern Ireland. We broke our temperature record 3 times that year so I’d be happy with that pattern.
  10. Looking at radar for today, I may get another dry/sunny day as direction of flow of rain/storms is ESE to WNW. Dry and sunny for now….
  11. I know apps are bit rubbish really but how can they be so different? BBC app would give me one dry day in next 10. I don’t think so looking at models. UK Metoffice giving Tuesday to Friday next week dry, hot and sunny.
  12. Still sunny up here, at least until Sunday I think, then thundery showers
  13. Agree with that. Hasn’t rained in this location for 11 days and I’ve watched the rain and fronts move around and constantly miss us during that time. Going forward, it’s obvious this won’t last but it’s been a lovely, if cool, April here.
  14. Has arrived here now after a frustrating day IMG_6272.MOV
  15. Blizzard conditions here right now. Went from wet to white in about 15 minutes. Temperature 0.5 degrees. IMG_6272.MOV
