Certainly going to be hotter today judging by the current temperatures.
Will be a fair few records going today.

Local station now 34.1 c

Local station showing 32.7c - absolutely sweltering, fortunately working from home so can't complain too much!
-
Local station showing 29.3 c - a 0.6c increase in the space of 10 minutes.

Local station showing 28.7 c and it's starting to feel very hot! Got some blokes doing some works around the house, trying to keep them well hydrated!
-
Good luck all, very fortunate to be work from home today, feel for those working outdoors/having to commute on the underground.
Local station showing 23.7.

Feeling a lot hotter and humid than the weekend just gone but no complaints considering I WFH.
Looks certain that it'll be mid 30s at some point. Not sure why anyone would want anything higher without a swimming pool nearby!
-
Looks like we've got some very pleasant weather on the way, hopefully nowhere near the crazy 40c shown on some of the charts, would be absolutely unbearable and lead to loss of life.

Local station giving a 30.9c here, probably could see a 33c

30.5 according to the local weather station, absolute bliss, can't wait for a few cold ones in the garden this evening. The breeze is very nice, gets some air through the house!
-
It's going to be an absolute scorcher, already 24.3 c, could see a 34c somewhere?
Happy Friday all!

Finally, some summer weather! Looks like we've got a few toasty days ahead of us. Enjoy all!

I'm out and about again. Currently reached Milton Keynes. Need to figure out the track of these storms to determine if I head to E, W or N of London
Can't see much if anything happening West of London

Surprisingly feeling quite fresh considering there's storms ahead, be interesting to see if anything actually happens.

Weekend is looking absolutely lovely, maybe even a 25c somewhere around London.
Fingers crossed any storms that take place don't ruin it!

Absolutely grim compared to last week.
Cold and sleety, yuck yuck yuck.
Hopefully this will be the last cold snap before Spring really kicks into gear.

Looks like it's finally calmed down a bit, from a IMBY perspective it certainly wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, no damage in the immediate area other than a few branches off trees in the local parks. Amazing the difference a lack of rain and tree foliage makes to the damage, we've had gusts that were no where near today's level with plenty of damage when the trees are at full bloom and torrential rain accompanies it. Some of the gusts were pretty intense at times, can only imagine what is was like in more isolated areas!
Some of the footage from others parts of the UK is pretty incredible, clearly a big event when it's all over twitter and not just being hyped/ramped up on here or smaller weather related channels on twitter.
Fingers crossed injuries and loss of life is at a minimum, no doubt we'll see that news trickling through as the day goes on.

Went out for a drive to the supermarket, fortunately didn't see any damage in my little part of the world in West London apart from a branch that had come off a tree in a park, fingers crossed it stays this way!
-
Ventured out to a very busy supermarket, surprisingly and fortunately no damage anywhere on my 15 minutes drive apart from a branch that had come down in a park, fingers crossed it stays like this.
-
Some really quite big gusts coming through but fortunately no damage as of yet, trees in the park also seem to be doing impressively well. Some of the Deliveroo cyclists around here have no fear, saw one out and about with their shorts on, absolute nutters.
-
Blue sky and sunshine here in West London, quite pleasant with it beaming through the window!
Warning for this part of the UK starts now so we'll see what happens over the next few hours, at present it feels like a normal windy winters day, fingers crossed it stays like that!

Just got back from a jog, the parks are absolutely empty which was great, perhaps it's worth going out more often before a weather warning!!
A bit windy above but quite calm down on ground level, fingers crossed it's not as bad as forecasted.
