Sunshineandshowers84 looks pretty active on the radar. It missed just to the east of here. Can hear it rumbling away though with rumbles every few seconds
I had just about given up to be honest but given the line of storms from Nw Scotland now running in a line (with breaks) well into England I think anything will be east of here now.

It was cooler after the storm but the warm sunshine is back and more heavy showers developing here. Hoping for round 2 but that may be being greedy

Storms getting going now, a few heading up the Ayrshire coast. Showers building in land too but no lightning yet.
Scratch that, rumbles of thunder every 30secs or so. Building overhead.
Edit: Frequent thunder and lightning altho most of the lightning hard to see, good little storm and fast growing. The core went just to the west so altho a few heavy pulses we missed the worst of the rain.
Can see 2 storms from here, moving quickly away.

Good photos everyone. Not surprised re Prestwick, it was 22c while I was coming back up the M77 at about 10:30am this morning!
Really nice morning, the heat is sparking off some strong convection here so wouldn't be surprised to see some showers break out shortly. I see the Met have given us a storm warning for tomorrow although UKV doesn't look as good for here. Haven't checked other models but it's been showing since early in the week.

Ross90 honestly, I could barely see them for most of the time and they weren't in the area I was lookingCamera picks them up way better, long exposure or borrow a different phone/camera if there's another in the house and try that.

Looking like the chance of an amazing aurora tonight. I can just see it already to the north on my security camera in twilight. I've got the bright lights of Glasgow to my north so it should be something else later on in the dark time especially in favoured places!

Looking pretty warm ahead with temps high teens/low twenties into the central belt and further north after we get the drizzle out of the way overnight. Sunday and into Sunday night looking interesting from a storm perspective.... but too far out at the moment to bother with the details for me.

First yellow thunderstorm warning of the season... first bust. Not really much around here either - we've currently got moderate rain according to the radar but barely any is making it to the ground. Some flash flooding and funnels around in Yorkshire from their storms though and some beasts expected over in oklahoma today...

SW Saltire just after I posted I noticed the north West is up to 21c. 18c at Glasgow AP too.

The sun is out at times and it feels warm and a bit muggy at times for the first time this year really

Another frost here again this morning, the 3rd or 4th this week. Lovely start but it's clouding over a bit now with showers likely soon.
Ravelin Maybe...
e.g. UKV below shows Tuesday not bad down here (just), but chilly still further north. Then meh on the GFS temperature wise after that. From Friday the GFS has 17c fleetingly into the north east... after that it's a horror show and another cool down but I only really look at UKV these days so Tuesday is my limit. The sleet that was due here at the weekend has at least vanished but those further east still looking to get some more rain on Sunday. (Other models hopefully better but haven't looked)

Beautiful day after a chilly start, went for a run this morning and then spent the rest of the day cutting the grass and tidying the garden. Like 101 said it felt warm in the strong sunshine and I even managed to get sunburnt

We're at 135mm of rain so far for April at the nearest sepa station and 631mm for the year so far! Attempted to do some gardening between the downpours today and nearly lost my welly in the bog making some flower beds... Similar to others with some of the downpours containing hail with a quick cool down. Some more heavy showers tomorrow and Monday before a drier day again.

It must be spring: 4c in northern Scotland after recent snow and 18c in the south east of England.
Some pretty heavy downpours moving through here too this afternoon.
I didn't bother staying up to watch the snow last night but I think we ended up with a decent cover given it was still melting in the rain first thing this morning.

mardatha Lots more to come from a quick look at the models unfortunately, it's looking like a really wet week and into the weekend with lots of generally light rain interrupted by bands of heavy/torrential rain. I'm glad I managed to get the grass cut for the first time yesterday as I'm not sure when the next chance will be! Roll on my summer hols!

Clear blue skies and strong
springwinter sunshine which feels pleasant. Yesterday was similar but with a bit more cloud. it's still very muddy underfoot. It would be nice if we could get this every day for at least a few weeksAs @Northernlights mentioned winter isn't finished yet, and there is still the risk of some snow for the next couple of months... This winter has been a reminder to stay grounded when it comes to cold/snow forecasts in this country. The charts looked very cold from early December with many comments of 1947/63 in the model thread which I thankfully ignored after 20 years of experience on here (although the north did well and we managed some snow here so I can't complain too much) If we hadn't got that 3 or 4 inch fall early December I would be disappointed though particularly with the bust early Jan where the front went south.

Quinach apparently returning to normal conditions here yet it's been soggy for months I guess they must have testing lower down in the soil or estimated it from the rainfall stats. Doesn't feel like it's been dry here though!
I'm other news, pea soup with drizzle, mist and fog for the last few days. We managed a few glimpses of sunshine at lunchtime today. It feels very much like spring now.

dryfie wouldn't surprise me either, we're not that far from Pollok and it's been a scorcher.
There's been some good towers going up all day but I think this is the storm which is firing now over clydebank. Either that or new one forming.
