Ruzzi yep was about to say the same, decent looking cell near Largs at the moment.

Scuba steve can't imagine you'll have too many problems tomorrow to be honest. No huge amounts and the front is pretty patchy. Ice and accidents more likely on the A71 so I would go M74 to M77 unless you're likely to hit Glasgow at rush hour.

Kayemill yep starting to lie a bit wider here now that it's got dark. Roads and pavements starting to turn white.

Snow is slowly getting heavier but still small flakes, starting to settle on paths now.
Edit:much heavier now and pretty white outside.

aggy That's also a good sign Snaw flurries beginning here now.

Kayemill Great sign! Also hearing of reports of snow falling in Kilmarnock... Front is looking stronger than originally modelled too.

Hawesy Yeah I'm not expecting a widespread dumping of snow. We should see falling snow, and we are at just under 200m here so that's only around 0.5c difference in temp needed from the 300m estimate so there is still a chance here of some settling... It looks like a bit of a mix down south, looks largely like another bust but some places reporting snow. Just one to keep an eye on

Bit further north with the front as mentioned. Meto have brought the weather warning for the south forward to 12pm to cover the snow moving into the far south from early afternoon..

A frosty one here too. Meto text forecast mentions drifting snow on the hills tonight and that's for the Strathclyde forecast

A dusting of snow here on cold surfaces from the showers that went through about 5am. Surprised we didn't get more looking at the radar but looks like it was pretty marginal. The road looks a tad slippery!

jellybaby1969 I decided it was a good idea to go for a run at lunchtime and had the rain stinging my face, the wind felt that it was pushing be backwards at one point
The squall line just went through here with absolutely torrential rain for a minute or two and with that the wind speeds have reduced down.

@101_North unlucky, at least you may see some sun during the week! Safe travels.

@lorenzo yeah, I just saw Washington dc broke a record today and is sitting at 25c currently - the same temperature as Miami!! Crazy for January and somewhere you would think should be well below 0c at this time of year. As the daylight grows ever longer I start looking towards spring (I prefer snow with long dark nights) but another good snow event would be welcomed before we get there

Windy last night but not as bad as Sunday night. Neighbours have lost a few roof tiles which made it across the street and some of our verge tiles look like they might come off in the next storm, hate those things!

There's a lot less focus on Jocelyn, but there are still some very strong gusts showing on the UKV into the west and then up into the northern Isles. Looks like the worst hits here slightly later at night than last time so it may not be the easiest to sleep tonight...

A couple of flashes of lightning and a few rumbles of thunder from the last shower
Nice I didn't see or hear anything but looks like the M77 at Darnley has had a pretty bad hailstorm. Road is closed with multiple accidents.

I'm finding this more interesting than the ice. I was just thinking when @johncammentioned the hailstorm he had earlier that we barely get them anymore... then this just happened... And now it's sleet.

Quite a few lightning strikes showing on the radar from the showers rattling in.

The kids wooden playhouse has just lost part of its roof. My plastic shed is still standing.... So far.
Some bad flooding in coastal areas and lots of trees down. Probably could've been a red warning for coastal Ayrshire and the west coast... Not surprised to see a red for the north, that area has been showing gusts over 100mph on UKV for the last few days (although the worst was just offshore)

Glasgow AP showing a gust of 76mph, suspect we're high than that here now!

Yep, Hairdryer treatment the road and pavement is nearly bone dry apart from the puddles due to the wind!

Heavy hail and a bit of snow again @Ruzzi and we're on the heaviest of the next shower. No lightning this time because I stood at the window recording it...
