Another big rumble and lightning near a place called bishops Lydeard. -
The storm erupted into wonderful long rolls of thunder as well as what I'd call " crackling " thunder as well aided by the sun . Thunder stopped for now but raining again and still muggy .

A really heavy downpour here , with flashes and rumbles as well . The sun pops out and heats the air setting off more rain and crashes . At least I don't have to water the garden tonight! Sweet peas will love it . Ooh another rumble lovely .

Lovely rumbles of thunder and saw a flash of lightning in Taunton . Wind picked up as well . The band of showers looks like it's heading towards us too .

A right ol downpour here as well and still heavy even now.

Raining here in Taunton , grey clouds with a tinge of pink . Cool , but wind starting to pick up . Just pleased I don't need to water my garden !

Humidity has jumped up as well from an hour ago , but the breeze is fresh and I'm not convinced about any crash bang whallops for us however nice . The sun is now out with a few spots of rain still around. Love the British weather!

My weather station has the humidity dropping in Taunton where I am as well. We might get rain edit, we are getting rain I can hear it on conservatory roof. Just going to get washing in .

According to my little weather station the humidity is dropping here in Somerset . Was 60% earlier this morning and now 35% . Sky becoming hazy as well but as I said humidity dropping in fact now down to 33% so I think that the forecast for storms further east of me is correct.

Similar here as well Matt . The air feels damp and the cold is in my bones . What a softie I am !

Trees are down all over the place and standing water - no sign of things abating .

Very very breezy this morning after a very very wet and windy night. In fact I think the wind speed is picking up. Those travelling out and about will need to be very careful in the wind affected areas as full leaved trees - and there are quite a few left , are more susceptible to being blown over. Very warm too.i have to say that this is my favourite autumnal weather

Brightened up again here after about ten drops of rain lol . Wind really quite brisk , but again warm and humid too.

Very cloudy here as well, with interesting cloud formation. I see Exeter are having a heavy shower or two. Very breezy but very humid .

Probably not reliable but , car thermometer got to 32 C and our school have advised that students can attend school in pe kits . I love this weather but it hates me . Currently indoors fighting off headache , feeling sick and sore throat. Plus my meds make it impossible even with sun cream to sit out in the garden . Plus side sweetpeas are flowering whop whoop. I do hope though that others are enjoying the weather . .

Very bright and sunny here too. My temperature sensor says 20 C but I'm not sur that's right .

Well good call so far, as very heavy rain is now falling here in the south West .

According to a local weather station 24.5 C and 62% chance of rain - cloud bubbling up milky hazy sunshine . not sure that Northern France will throw much this way , I imagine the channel is still pretty chilly still especially after the cold sunless spring we have had .
