Just popped outside and all you can hear is drop, drip drip . Now its thawing ! -
Yes , it's holding on quite spectacularly. Very annoying . The roads aren't too bad and on some roundabouts large puddles .But getting in and out of side roads and drives is very tricky .

My temperature has just limped back in the 1. Somethingorother, and rain / swizzle here . I thought the temps were going to rise through the night . There was a hefty looking band of rain/ snow over Exeter, but just west of Tiverton now. I know they've had rain . Maube the air won't be warming as quickly as we thought . The sky is looking brighter now and the birds are out and about . Lots of lying snow and roads dangerous but hopefully it will soon clear :-)

It is rain, heard a crack and some snow/ ice fell off the conservatory roof . have looked on netweather radar, oh my word , Exeter / Tiverton is in for a right ol bashing . Rain I assume ,?

I think it's raining here too as opposed to freezing raining ain . Temp is 1C. Very windy again .

Can't make up its mind, felt like drizzle when I was defrosting the copper pipe outside . Dont ant anymore snow thank you. Had enough now . I suppose it will all freeze again tonight, though on the met office app it showed a rise to all of 1 C after mindnight. Cant get over the sheets of ice either . Amazing .

It's like an ice rink out there, well put it this way I opened up my window and the rain has frozen on the ledge like glass. No way am I going anywhere today. I thought the wind had died down , but it's blowingfrom a direction that doesn't make a noise . Its just nuts isn't it. Well the collides have certainly had a cold spell to remember that's for sure. lets hope we can enjoy iti as well as being safe .

There's now a sound like grit being thrown at the window, I think it's hard snow as I had a look at the front of my property . Temperature creeping up to -2 now it was -2.4 an hour ago .

My weather gauge says -2.3 C , I thought I'd heard ice a minute ago against the window but I can't hear anything now . Tomorrow will be an ice rink if it turns to freezing rain . Relative humidity is 92% that has risen sharply. So the snow is less dry than before . I'll need to keep an eye out I think .

Conservatory roof covered over an dlikeanktjer poster said it's like icing sugar out there the cat is disgruntled but tough . The radar is certainly showing some exciting things going on . I think it's best to stay put tomorrow and enjoy Mother Nature .

Here too, it's quite odd. The sun is desperately trying to peek through , but oh boy it's cold and the wind unlike you is swirling the snow around . However what is coming towards me on the netweather radar looks very interesting! Ive fed the birds , the cat is safe and warm , food is in , miss Marple on DVD .im happy lol

Best be back off I'd say . Well done you for going in . My place of work is shut .They took the decision in view of the met office warnings .

Snowing steadily I'd say in Taunton , and you can see ho the wind whips it up into mini swirls and deposits it elsewhere. Really cant get over how cold it is . The heating gone off and in minutes you notice it's effect . My place of work is officially closed now and possibly for tomorrow as well.

And snowing in Taunton , horizontally ! But hey it's snowing . I did have my doubts I have to say . My little weather station says it's -4.4 and predicts further snow . Are you going in to your place of work dec'10? I'mnot working o a Thursday at the Moment so will be at home , however tomorrow could be fun if this lot sticks and settles .

That's what I can dimly make out then. I would have been surprised if we had had snow as the radar looked a tad uneventful . The wind has picked back up though and it's giving some real welly. Lol

The timings are from the met office app that I have, and the other info is for the North Somerset coast. Well a stretch of the North Somerset coast anyhow.

No snow where I am I nTaunton , well I can't see that here has been . Any where you are Dec '10 ?

Mind you according to the weather station a few miles from me the remap is -7.9 , windchill -17.9 ( it is on the North Somerset coast ) , dew point - 9.4! Wind ENE, 25 mph with gusts of 38 mph . Snow forecast at 0900 h with the heavy stuff at 1400 and continuing . We shall see. I hope those wo want snow have it , but please be safe as you enjoy it.

According to the met office the snow around here isn't set to really cause havoc until this afternoon . Apart from a few flakes nothing has fallen so far and the wind has dropped. Lull before the storm perhaps ? Othing much on the netweather radar either . Hope those without power are t cut off for too long.

It's already -4 C in my back garden and that's the not the coldest point ! Will interesting to see what happens tomorrow/ Thursday .
