  1. Met o still giving out rain warning today . I think personally further north of our region . Warm, sunny but still humid considering last nights offerings !
  2. Absolutely hammering down now and has been for the lqst30 mins or so. This will water the garden nicely
  3. Yes it was very very impressive . I've just seen lightning now - been woken up by it but no thunder
  4. Have had a cracking storm in Taunton Somerset. It's insane where my daughter lives in Devon too.. i think your turn is approaching later on tonight .
  5. I think the south west might rumble on all night you know . Looks very busy o n the radar
  6. It's all calmed down now, and with the dusk and night falling hard to see if there are any more rain clouds forming . The huge thunderclap was about 300metres away I think . I hope no one was hurt . cracking storm though
  7. Can't make up my mind if that's it or there's more to come as the rain clouds haven't gone .
  8. Have had an almighty flash and immediate crash of thunder . Like the sky was being torn in two. Quite scary .
  9. Very happy to be wrong... lovely storm , just rumbling around , lightning flashing around . wind dropped and humid still. What fun
  10. Looks like Exeter is getting a bashing too ! But that band is moving West I believe . I see the met office has changed the rain symbols again for my area so I think we will be dry .
  11. Very sticky and muggy here in Somerset , but lots of milky skies and we've had lovely sunshine. Breezy now .
  12. Famous last words , just start d to rain . Not too heavy though bridgewater has had a shower or three!
  13. Not that I expected it to , but , apart from a few lovely cloud formations it has been bone dry . Beautiful day though and I'm not complaining one bit .
  14. View from my back garden . Faint rumbles according to my partner . I'm not convinced . Too far away .
  15. Looks interesting in and around the Glastonbury area Yeovil looks fun too. Loving the radar :- )
  16. Milky skies and a breeze. Very pleasant evening . I'm too far west. Glad some of you are having a good storm . netweather radar looks " busy" in places .
  17. Not sure of exact temp , but in the early 20s for sure. Very light cloud dotted around , beautiful pale blue sky , birds singing , swallows flying around, plants growing . Very pleasant . somersset not doing too badly at the cricket ATM .....
  18. Beautiful day today, unbroken sunshine and a high of 22C . Went to a south west beach - Dawlish and it was just beautiful . Pity I have one arm in plaster ( suspected fracture and the. Today learned that the RHeumatoid arthritis has wrecked a tendon in my ankle. I know have d a steroid injection in it and the ankle in a cast . It's rather comical . At least tomorrow I can rest in the sun
  19. I'm really not sure , but I do remember in 1995 that the winter 1994/95 was a very mild one, but the spring and particularly May that year was very chilly, grey and overcast , only to give way to a very stonking hot second half of June, July and the weather finally broke latter half of August . ( my eldest was born and I seem to remember the weather patterns clearly as I wanted to dress her in certain outfits and couldn't because it was too cold at first ) . So who knows ? Maybe something to do with solar cycle too ? Beautiful morning here , 10C , bright sunshine . Hopefully will bring my sweetpeas along nicely and my indoor plants too- chillies and peppers . Also growing basil and parsley from seed .
  20. Good , I mglad about that, I'd hate to hear that all your lovely hard work wiped out . Youve reminded me I'm going o get my potted sweetpeas in I think , a bit chilly for them . They've grown beautifully since being potted in large deep pots -as they have very long roots outside but for now I'll bringthem in for s few days . Weather as ever rather chilly in its feel but then again not unusual for this time of year . Then all of a sudden warm weather seems to erupt from nowhere . My feline weather monitor has climbed the wooden hill ( quite a feat for a three legged feline! ) and is now curled up on my bed fast asleep. She's obviously written the day off .
  21. Very windy and heavy but brief showers all day today and the wind isn't keen in giving up yet either . Typical spring weather :-)
