I've just take. A peek at the radar not sure if I've had all the rain and storms I'm going to get to ightas the met office issued a warning for heavy rain overnight . Lots of cells off of France and in the channel now but I think they will go to the north and east of me. It looks insane though if it continues like that .

Wow! Have checked the netweather radar! Oh my , looking good in Exeter, newton abbot , and in west Somerset Minehead. Had a good pour down this morning the. Broke into very warm sunshine, just starting to become hazy now and cloud bubbling, but by the look,s of things just out of reach . We shall have to see . But the lightning strikes over northern France looked v intense .

After a grey , soggy start we now have intermittent sunny spells and the breeze is rattling the letterbox . sweetpea seedlings growing nicely ( indoors ) along with tomato seedlings a d chilli seeds too. I have a new weather forecaster. She's called Misty, and she's popped outside and settled down to sleep. When she wants to be back indoors I know the rain will start again ! Lol ?

1999 was a year I remember As I was expecting my youngest then . I had a difficult pregnancy and was in and out of hospital . It was a humid time from May to the September . Thunderstorms where I was ( souxth west ) were frequent with some beautiful storms . On the day she was born in the September it thundered on that afternoon !

Yes, I remember that year as my youngest was 7 months old and my eldest' first Easter at primary school . It was bitterly cold absolutely bitter and the summer if I remember rightly wasn't up to standard unlike the year before which was humid and thundery. But plenty of sunshine in between . 1998 had a snowy Easter- my 3rd baby was born then and that summer was downright miserable . Cool and wet . Funny how you remember things isn't it .

Down here in Sunny Somerset , it's very shivery and blowing a right ol hoolie but none of the white stuff ( as forecasted ). The real action is turning up at around midnight I believe so those disparing don't dispair too much . It bonechillingly chilly here that's for sure . Well we shall see if the late winter ( I'm terribly old fashioned and for me spring doesn't start until Monday the 19th March lol) has one last bite in the morning . Ive just planted seeds indoors and want to get my raspberry canes in ! Hope one and all are safe and well and enjoying the weather what ever it is throwing at you .

Interesting cloud just now . There is a bank of black cloud and all of a sudden there looked to be a big updraft forming and a small funnel forming . It was moving incredibly quickly so no chance to take a photo .. but it looks rather connective out there . SW wind at 10mph , dp 0.6 C , temp 4.6 pressure 996 hPa this is from a station on the coast 10miles away . . But it will do . Storm force Beka i always found the it rained on the school run . And school photograph day !

Awoke to that yellow spherical object giving out light and heat. Still loads of snow around even the temperature is still climbing . Birds are singing , and I have a lovely memory of a Robin taking a bath in the guttering where the snow had melted and there was sufficient water in the guttering . I'm pleased for the cold lovers who loved the snow that you had some. Many years ago I broke or cracked a bone on the inside of my arm ( slipped on ice and snow fell backwards landed oddly on My back but my arm took the brunt of the fall) and so I'm very wary of snow and ice even now . But it's good to see others enjoying it and seeing families having fun together . So I'm not altogether miserable , I'm just v v wary. Thought I'd best explain as to why I'm cautious when it snows .
