At least 1cm hail here at it's biggest and it's being blown around by the wind. Constant flashes and thunder pretty wild out there.

Really gusty here at least 40-50mph if not more chucking it down with hail. And constant rumbling and strikes now.

-
Pretty constant rumbling here only seen one flash assuming it is mostly IC lightning instead of CG.
-
Think my reverse psychology worked seen a few decent strikes and some rumbles of thunder.

Couple of strikes fairly nearby and some thunder guess I'm fairly content now

Well absolutely nothing here thought my luck was changing after some good storms last year but back to normal now missed out by 15-20 miles
Hopefully we can get something more widespread for everyone tomorrow who missed out
Actually edit I can see some flashes in the distance but nothing close just some rain.

It is not fake.
BUT it is actually from the 11th of March, I did a reverse image check to see when the picture was sourced and from where.
BEFORE the schools were shut down in Portugal (they were officially closed today). My guess is that is mainly uni students who were off at that point.
Yep just checked the weather during that time and temps were 26,25 and 21 degrees in places like Faro between the 9th and the 11th so wouldn't be surprised that they are all down at the beach getting some sun in and probably drinking a few coronas depending on how risque they are feeling

People have the opportunity do do what they like. Would you go to a gathering if you thought it was unsafe? More fool you if you do. It is possibly the government is assuming everyone has common sense and not sheep who only act if told to do so. They have indicated they will take more draconian action if they need to .
I'm certainly going nowhere near any of these big gatherings unless I'm forced to for some reason. I think at least a good 10% of the population don't have any common sense to be frank and that's me being generous take all the idiots that are going out and panic buying everything from the shops.

Mers is not all that infectious apparently however Covid-19 and how it compares to other things does raise the point of why we don't have government agencies culling these small things through the likes of quarantine. We could get rid of a lot of things if we took then this seriously.
Yep agree with you don't think I'm the only one on here that is a bit uncertain about the tactics being employed by the government. At the very least they could ban public gatherings amongst other things without too much of a stink being kicked up by the general public.
I know some people on the forum agree with the current government strategy but I will freely admit I don't like it at all, if they want to experiment with herd immunity they should get a small group of people together in an isolated environment to minimise the amount of deaths from this pandemic and if that works well then maybe roll the dice.

Just heard on Points West that there has been a strain of Coronavirus circulating in the middle East since 2012.
Would guess there are talking about MERS-CoV maybe? Never mind the others beat me to it. Said to have been transmitted to humans through camels.

In Swanage just had an Ice Cream and now the sun is out and lots of blue around feels nice and pleasant out there. Had a few showers around earlier but seem to have missed the worst and it's clearing up now.

Quite a contrast as I've been staying in Wiltshire before heading down to Dorset and it's been dry and sunny down here.
-
Staying in Dorset this week so may pay a few visits in here if you'll have me as an honorary member. Been in Wiltshire this weekend before travelling down must say I have thoroughly enjoyed the weather.

Thankfully ended up picking the best week to go to Dorset for a family holiday. Weather back in Wrexham looks mediocre at best.

Dropped from 30.1 degrees down to 24.1 during that storm but now back up to 28.8 degrees.

Pretty wild out there had some wind gusts that were at least 40mph. Torrential hail blown around by the wind and constant loud booms and the odd flash.
