    Absolutely, nice cloudscapes and all, but still very envious would like at least a heavy shower to sort the ground out around here

    What I would give to hear just 1 rumble of thunder, Reading all the posts and feels like everyone’s rubbing it in! Can’t believe some are disappointed in ‘only’ having 1 storm, Oh well now it’s beer time.

    4th or 5th June there was a 10 minute very light drizzly shower the kind that barely wets the ground and that has been it since early-mid April, happens every year, English Channel is a convection killer

    Is this really turning into yet another bone dry / dust bowl type summer where a bit of rain is just impossible for this area, dust blowing in the breeze, brown grass, seems like a recurring theme it’s like we have 2 seasons wet(autumn winter) and dry(Spring summer).

    That’s true, and when they do it’s always dark and elevated so theres never any visible structure Unlike surface based daytime storms, haven’t had one of those for at least a decade!

    The whole spell has been a bust here, grass is still bone dry haven’t even had a drop of rain let a lone a storm

    If I was mistaken I’d have thought there were a big high centred directly over the uk, been almost clear blue skies the last 3-4 days, wouldn’t have thought there could be skies this clear sat Directly under a low

    Yes it’s something I’ve noticed Over the years and I had to let a bit of frustration out lol, I’ve only recorded a few Frosts here and there but like you say nothing much lower than -2 and 30c a couple times, seems imports are the only way for storms here, haven’t had a daytime storm since 2014, where were you from originally ?

    When is the next possibility of storms heading into the south coast Near Brighton? rather than the usual heading inland and towards The midland and northern England scenario

    I agree all unsettled spells in summer seem to be nothing other than a few spots of drizzle and never actually any meaningful rain, if I dodge all the rain in this upcoming Spell of weather I’m moving to the outer Hebrides

    Warmest day of the year 3rd day running at 27.0c humidity reached a very low 29%.

    Warmest day of the year here got to 25.2c with humidity in the 30/40% so very nice, this past week I have not seen such wall to wall deep blue Skies since being in Egypt a few years back no clouds or contrails What so ever, Best thing about living on the coast in summer is no infill clouds unlike further inland can sometimes get.
