  1. Very Heavy snow here now in S Cheshire everything covered!
  2. How’s it looking for lowland Cheshire in terms of accumulations this evening/ tonight @Kasim Awan ? Moderate- Heavy snow showers currently but a bit too wet to stick.
  3. Moderate - Heavy snow now hitting us in South Cheshire Big feathery flakes.
  4. Light snow has arrived in South Cheshire some massive flakes! Here’s hoping for a covering the next few hours!
  5. Lightly snowing as the feature over Wales sinks southwards. Interesting to see BBC Weather app going for heavy snow showers much of this evening for my location. We’ll see
  6. Down to -4c here in S Cheshire with a harsh frost last night currently dry here but quickly clouding over from the west as sleet/ snow showers begin to move in. This afternoon into this evening looks interesting too hopefully we get a slight covering
  7. Think us in the very south east of the region should fingers crossed get a slight covering again from this feature if it reaches us! I guess the last few days have taught us how much these small areas of wintry precipitation that crop up with only short notice can provide. It’ll be going dark and the temperature will be dropping ahead of a cold night so a good time for anything to fall.
  8. Quite a bit of snowmelt this afternoon in any sun. Nearly got clobbered by this lot falling off the roof whilst taking the bin out! Haven’t heard that sound of snow falling off the roof since Dec 2010 and that was with icicles on all the guttering and the most stunning hoar frost too. Hovered around 2c all day today making it locally the coldest day of the Winter so far for me despite the snowmelt. But like others have said it’s more faux surface cold rather than anything bitterly cold and big freeze like. January may change all that though. Happy New Year all here’s hoping 2021 is a brighter one for everyone!
  9. Moderate- heavy snow shower still here in Sandbach. 5 miles down the road in Crewe despite catching the snow around 6am dry as a bone by the looks of it. Crewe snow shield in full effect lol!
  10. Cheshire Gap never fails to deliver here hammering it down! IMG_3419.MOV
  11. Heavy snow here again now big flakes in this shower Northwich looks like it’s done well too.
  12. Light - moderate snow Cheshire Gap shower seems to have slightly intensified just to the north of me.
  13. Hoping it reaches here! Still dry but probably not for long.
  14. Sky to the west looks very dark so heres hoping. South Manchester looking the sweet spot currently. One to watch is that heavier burst of precipitation over Merseyside moving south east.
  15. Yes - looks like the Cheshire Gap effect is firing up N Cheshire/ South Manchester look well placed although think us further south will still see something from it.
  16. A slight 2cm crunchy covering on top of Tuesdays remaining snow patches. Manc Airport northwards seem to be catching the heavier more prolonged stuff. Another heavy shower off the Irish Sea would be great
  17. What do we think of these heavier showers developing in the Irish Sea moving inland? Will they move inland or remain a coastal feature?
  18. Snow has stopped but A lovely crunchy covering here in S Cheshire. Manchester looks well placed + some beefier looking showers seem to be building in the Irish Sea that hopefully will push their way in land. A bit hit and miss but if you catch one it’ll give a covering
  19. Shower incoming here too. Any chance those beefier showers over N Wales will reach us in the next hour or so @Kasim Awan ?
  20. Same here currently v cold and foggy -2c here in S Cheshire some patches of snow cover left from yesterday despite afternoon sleety rain if we get a dusting of snow early hours/ tomorrow morning it’ll be a bonus
