    Someone nailed a comparable situation earlier...I think it was March 2004. Although it will be colder tommorrow. Waited and waited but conditions were pretty much like they are today, cold cloudy, occasional very light flurry. I believe the snow made it as far as north Cheshire.

    Gfs 6z JS beefed up the precipitation to an extent. However anything light blue I just snizzle if that.

    I very much doubt it. ITV barely interested in weather. At least we are.

    It is an upgrade but just doesn't look right to me.

    Most of the year no one would notice this small feature that is set to make such a difference in our fortunes.

    Agree those in the south of the region could still do ok. Manchester looking a bit dodgy. I'm expecting a covering still though. But no major event.

    I thought they'd take them off last night to be honest. Anyway like all snow events, anything can happen at the last minute. Positives are any precipitation that makes it to the region will be all snow. No marginality, no rain to snow to rain then thaw. The cold is in place.

    It's not a mistake going off he latest models. But could well change again.

    Although as mention by Frankie and he former mr data the airport forecasts for Liverpool and manchester are still going for snow. They are nearly always correct.

    No warm front, all good dew point / 850 temps etc but precipation looks a lot lighter and eastward progress looks like manchester.

    If its pretty much the same tomorrow, amber region including NW then I'd agree. I reckon at least the east of the region will be back yellow.

    Surely too late to modify forecast should the need be though? Perhaps not

    We might see the M6 been used as a guideline as usual. Only this time it might be east of it that misses out, or only sees very light precipitation.

    Certainly can't be discounted. Near the time I will be keeping an eye on posts that have the airport forecast on because they seem to be really accurate.
