Looks like any blocking is being pushed back on Cansips. Can see a wet/windy and mild winter to be honest. https://twitter.com/WorldClimateSvc/status/1720449365158817990?s=19
These long term predictions are absolutely useless most of the time. Flipping a coin would give you more accurate results...

Youre obviously a person who cannot get his head around other peoples thoughts. Spain is a semi arid place in most part, and before the hoards of population decided to go there it had little impact on the environment , but because it is a fragile place and since the advent of commercial flying and easy access to millions of holiday makers building thousands of holiday resorts ,resulting in huge impacts on the environment ,this is the point im making ,that a hundred years ago there was not a demand on the infrastructure that there is today.......end of..!
That's very different than simply saying that the problem of Spain is overpopulation like you did in your first message.
Anyway enough of this, people have reached their own conclusions

You have forgotton one thing.......The millions of Holiday makers putting huge demand on the infrastructure...
Whereas nobody ever visits the UK...
The average number of visitors in Spain is 4 million per month, less than 10% of their population. Even taking that into consideration the numbers don't change much.
UK is around 3 times more densely populated than Spain.
I don't understand why nowadays when people make a mistake, which happens to everyone, they don't just admit it and move on rather than standing up by something that's clearly wrong...

Intensive farming and overpopulation……
Overpopulation???? Are you serious?
Spain density: 94 people per km2
UK density: 281 people per km2
If there's a country that's is ridiculously overpopulated this country is the UK, not Spain...

Why is it we are always troubled by pesky shortwaves these days?!
Perhaps he's heading there for a New Year break?

To be honest i had written in the main mod thread that this cold spell was going to be mostly dry for most of the country and unfortunately i was right.
But what a let down anyway

It was just an observation. I meant no disrespect.

I need to learn not to get sucked into it on the mod thread. It's never anywhere near as severe most of the time when it comes to snow Saying that it has been really cold and festive with a little covering so every cloud and all that.
You need to take everything they say there with a shovel, not a pinch, of salt .
They like to exaggerate and sensationalize everything. What we are experiencing is a pretty 'normal' cold spell, by no means historical or memorable or exceptional like most posters there want us to believe.
It's a bit like the papers nowadays. The more you exaggerate the more clicks/likes you get...

All clear in Darlo overnight, just another frosty one leading to more sunshine to start the day
Yep, this cold spell has been a huge letdown so far. Cold without snow is pointless. All you get is a bloody expensive energy bill.

Well the ice hasn't shifted all day here. Lethal out there. When do we reckon our best chance for snow will be?
Never I'm afraid

As predicted nobody has seen any snow.
The Energy providers are celebrating though...

I also think this cold spell will be a huge disappointment for a lot of people
I hope I'm wrong, like i said it before, but i just can't see a lot of precipitation . It's going to be cold but mostly dry unfortunately in my opinion

I hope I'm very wrong here, but I don't see much precipitation with these synoptics.
I'm afraid we will see cold weather, hard frosts but not much in terms of snow.
Like I said if I'm proved wrong I'd be the happiest.

Model Output Discussion - mid Autumn

GFS has become increasingly useless in the past few years. ECM is much, much more reliable nowadays and unfortunately it doesn't show any sign of significant cold for our lands
