    I do hope for more days like yesterday in the SE. The videos that have been floating around were just absolutely insane and not something you'd expect coming out of Essex and Kent. Downbursts of hail, tremendous rain. Absolutely mental. A shame these homegrown storm days with that level of intensity are far and between in the SE. I've linked one of the more notable videos I saw yesterday.

    Indication of the strong shear present (20kt ish) which in theory should help a storm to sustain further because the updraft/downdraft can separate from each other. Although, it can just rip these developing showers apart if its too strong.

    Got the same gut feeling here. Pretty sure it's a wrap for the season, maybe the odd one off display over the next few weeks but other than that I'd say it's a closed book.
