  1. Convective Weather WWW.CONVECTIVEWEATHER.CO.UK Forecasting thunderstorms and severe convective weather across the British Isles and Ireland for up to the next 5 days.
  2. Don't think we'll get much around here. All bubbling away from NE Kent in general and has been all day, been looking at the convection strolling by to my SW all afternoon!
  3. Might be around round for Kent coming up if it can survive the tiny space from around Calais to Dover.
  4. Wasn’t expecting anything here this morning. Had a good few rumbles and see one flash of lightning which is good enough for me! Some mammatus from earlier after Mother Nature’s alarm clock woke me up.
  5. Convective Weather WWW.CONVECTIVEWEATHER.CO.UK Forecasting thunderstorms and severe convective weather across the British Isles and Ireland for up to the next 5 days.
  6. I do hope for more days like yesterday in the SE. The videos that have been floating around were just absolutely insane and not something you'd expect coming out of Essex and Kent. Downbursts of hail, tremendous rain. Absolutely mental. A shame these homegrown storm days with that level of intensity are far and between in the SE. I've linked one of the more notable videos I saw yesterday.
  7. That moving east is a good sign of things occuring here if it doesn't konk out before then. Can see it faintly in the distance on my webcam.
  8. View of the underside of that Canterbury cell from here. Very bubbly. Wind flicking from ENE to ESE.
  9. That Woodchurch cell has completely got rid of all the instability here. 14:10 14:30
  10. Indication of the strong shear present (20kt ish) which in theory should help a storm to sustain further because the updraft/downdraft can separate from each other. Although, it can just rip these developing showers apart if its too strong.
  11. Got the same gut feeling here. Pretty sure it's a wrap for the season, maybe the odd one off display over the next few weeks but other than that I'd say it's a closed book.
  12. Quick window shot, too low to be shot from garden.
  13. Few spikes on the OSWIN radar so will have an eye out later
