  2. Windy with 30 minutes of snow. Amber warning seems OTT for these parts.
  3. Significant thaw overnight, strong winds, rain and milder temperatures have shredded the snow. All eyes on the end of the working week Currently windy, rain and 5c.

  7. Bit of a change this morning, hopefully a blip. Mix of rain, sleet and snow. Last night's high winds have disappeared. The daily commute was less stressful thanks to the slightly warmer temperatures. Roads are mostly slushy or black.

  10. The gritters were ploughing snow this morning, but they seemed to be leaving almost as much as they were clearing No grit or salt was being spread so assume more snow incoming or, the councils are broke.

  15. A lad at work had the same problem starting his car this morning. Apparently diesel starts to freeze around -15c You live you learn
  16. As expected, temperatures overnight lower than the previous night. Temperatures on the commute this morning were noticeably colder than yesterday morning. Driving past Sauchen -14c, while Westhill down to -11c. Aberdeen -7.5c Two attempts to start the car this morning, so that's a first since 2014.
  17. Minus 14 on the car display yesterday morning. Today: We should see very low temperatures coming in from the usual spots today.
  18. Consistent -9c once clear of Aberdeen city until you drop into the Vale of Alford. Temperature then dropped sharply. The Met Office hourly forecast for my location shows -6c at 7pm. Slightly out
