  1. Cold start at -4c, roads untreated and are a bit icy in places. Didn't spot a single gritter on the commute to work.
  2. Latest update to the Met Office Outlook removes all mention of wintry showers and snow.
  3. Fairly dry start, despite the Met Office warning for rain. Light rain in Aberdeen, temperature 8c. **The forecast heavy rain started just after 7am. Overnight a brief return to colder conditions.
  4. Met office Outlook to 3rd December. Wet, windy with seasonal temperatures Atlantic onslaught continues. Weather and climate change WWW.METOFFICE.GOV.UK Met Office weather forecasts for the UK. World leading weather services for the public.
  5. For today alone, Tornahaish near Corgarff recorded 92mm of rain by 17.50. Also, Braemar and Aboyne had their wettest November day on record.
  6. Ballater: A friend reporting evacuations underway. VID-20221118-WA0006.mp4
  7. Keep an eye on the Webcams. You're looking for a lot more than 20cm bottom, middle and top to ski or snowboard bud.
  8. Oh dear, That stretch of road was fairly water free around 5am. I'm starting to wonder if I will get home tonight. The Amber weather warning has now been extended until 9pm
  9. Both Candacraig and Inchmarlo - Aberdeenshire - have recorded a further 40mm+ of rain in the last 8 hours. I suspect the Mets Amber warning for 100mm of rain, will be exceeded.
  10. Morning You'll need to be on the ball as you leave Millbank heading east, road is underwater. Be extra careful at the end of the Sauchen straight before the bend.....silly amount of water. End of the Dunecht straight is also submerged. Dunecht heading east is basically a water park until you reach Elrick. Usual spot outside the Premier Inn after the BP garage is underwater. Good luck
  11. Gavsweather going for a continuation of the windy, and very wet weather, until end of November at the earliest.
  12. Not a problem . Hopefully my report is from the Starbucks carpark at Westhill and not a ditch or an irate farmers field.
  13. Apparently Ballater has had a months worth of rain in less than 24 hours. Inchmarlo at 50mm @ 17.30. The commute tomorrow, if the amber warnings are correct, will be nasty.
  14. Lots of surface water on the roads this morning. Winds noticeably stronger in Aberdeen, temperature 9c and rain. Aberdeenshire looks extremely wet over the next 3-4 days, 48 hours of heavy rain across today and tomorrow.
  15. Met office not seeing much in the way of cold for the next 10 days. Strong PV, expected to strengthen further.
  16. It's the same every year in there . Will it be cigars and champagne or roll ups and tins. Temperature has dropped below 10c this morning, feeling much fresher in the strong winds
