    A rather uninspiring outlook from the Met Office. Perhaps a case of get the fog in first, worry about the snow later

    "Atlantic onslaught second half of November" according to Gavs weather followed by possible easterly winds, although he does go on to point out that Europe won't be that cold. Sods law.

    Well, if the Met Office bods have done their sums correctly, then more of the same until 24th November. Some snowfall for the Cairngorms mid week.

    The gardeners were back yesterday cutting the grass. Usually the last cut is mid September.

    Did you see any photos of these -30c temperatures? The lowest official temperature for January 2010 was -22.3c in Altnaharra. Anything below -20c, I tend to take a picture as proof. 11 Feb 2021 Due to the location of car RTDs, you can knock off approximately 1.5c.

    Both have recorded -27.2c, the coldest recorded UK temperatures. The most recent was Altnaharra almost 30 years ago. I doubt we will see those temperatures broken again.

    13c, dry and windy to start the day. Perfect for drying out firewood for the wood burner Forecast is for double digit figures to continue until next Wednesday.

    Central heating unbusy again due to the milder temperatures.

    I would expect Aboyne to be a bit lower than Aberdeen due to it's inland location. Lossie and Kinloss might go higher temperature wise.

    Temperature for Aberdeen expected to hit 15c at midnight tomorrow.

    Colder than yesterday.

    Decent frost to kick the day off. -1.5c at the house, a low of -3c on the commute into Aberdeen.

    Couple of pictures from 5am this morning, temperature should drop further as daylight approaches. Car was displaying - minus 3°c on the commute to Aberdeen.
