Met app, still shows no Snow for the ST7 area

And now suddenly we have Snow symbols for 11 hours of Snow

40% chance for 12 hours of snow in the ST6 area according to Met.   Netweather forecast on the other hand has 0% all day

EDIT Everything outside is covered in a thick layer of ice, car's are white with it, even the hedges have a pale sheen to them, so anything that does fall is definitely gonna stick.

Sleet/Very wet snow now. Pretty heavy. Hope the showers tomorrow are as beefy!

It's kinda' strange, as the radar also shows us up here being in the thick of it, but there's nothing whatsoever, not even drizzle.  I think it's all just blowing over us before it reaches anywhere near ground level.

Snow Now in Stoke on Trent   Temps dropped from 9C (7:30pm) to 0C now (9:30pm) with the last 4C in the last 30 mins or so.  Was absolutely pelting it down with rain about 15 mins ago everywhere was soaking wet, amazed it's able to stick so quickly

  4. Was wondering if something interesting was going to happen as a gritter went past the house 30 mins ago.  Talk about pre-emptive salting, it'll probably get washed away before it does any good.  Looks like it's gonna be a doozy though *rubs hands together gleefully*.

All we need now is heavy precipitation, May get a bit heavier before clearing off this evening.

    One can hope

Getting little snowy 'bursts' now in amongst the snizzle (it'll completely stop for about 10/20 secs then the little bust comes down), and the snizzle itself is becoming, slowly, more and more snowy. ❄

Also Temps still sinking faster than me in a swimming pool!

  6. We have Sleet, I repeat, We have Sleet! roughly 10% flakes and 90% drizzle   EDIT: it is now about 50% drizzle 50% flakes

Even though the temps are still around 1.5C (dp 1C) they were at 2.7C around an hour ago so falling quite fast. I have all my fingers Crossed!

Also one of my mum's friends sent a pic from her home in Yorkshire, It's looking like we did up here a few weeks back, good 2 - 3 inches of snow already there.

In the meantime, to get your snow fix, have a look at this wonderful website and select Stockholm!

Listen to local radio stations while driving through the cities around the world.

Edit: Just clicked back into Stockholm on it...and it's not always snowy! Must have different video feeds. Can't even get virtual snow sometimes!

I believe they have been taken without permission from 'Sigis Travel Videos' and 'Unclecoolie Productions' YouTube channels, as I recognise the one that was playing when I checked it out.

Ye im looking forward to her retirement shes got to be close surely she's been doing it since I was a kid lol

Personally I'm amazed she hasn't been sacked for a 'younger model' yet... this IS the BBC we are talking about.

Anywho, on to the weather, here in Stoke-on-Trent we have a delightful drizzly fog, with a topping of drizzly fog and drizzly fog on the side.  Urgh, I hate this sort of weather, makes my arthritis flare up badly (for whatever reason).

Snow has now gone after 2 weeks. A good run. Still plenty of winter left to run and the outlook looks promising.

Was still some large patches left in the Fields below the house before it got dark, but considering how much it's tipping it down, they are most likely completely gone by now.  Still, it stuck around remarkable well.

If only all this rain had turned up last week, we could be looking like Madrid right now.
