Could it have been Hail??
Nope certainly snow, we were outside of the front of the shop, it was bizarre sunny and felt warmish in the sun but 100% snow flakes
-
Couple of small snow showers here earlier, i know there is a bit of a row going on in the MOD thread at the moment, but it was certainly snow showers here

haha! I for one mean no harm in my posts This is one of the best threads on this site we keep the bickering at bay!
The problem is some peoples "cold" is different to others
Living where I do and in a little frost "hollow" I really look forward to cold and frosty mornings they make the walk to work different to the norm to say the least!
If you walk to work, why do you scrape the car?
Had a few frosts here, and would imagine there will be one tonight, temp really dropping

Rain here. Dew points not even marginal anywhere in the region. It's a sad state of affairs when we place so much hope in a band of rain that may give a sleety mix in the early hours - such is our desperation this winter!

Nothing was meant to happen this early anyway, it's pretty much stalling where expected, just need the cold to undercut later tonight, was always a marginal event

Not sure why it's quoting you Steve?
looking at the radar this is heading straight for me, hope the North Sea keeps feeding it and heading this way, need my snow fix!

Big fat flakes now, but just to marginal, so not settling anywhere

Few flakes about half an hour ago, now sleet

Only 2 miles off shore now and will land as a Cat 5. Thanks for putting me onto CNN. Its going to be long night for me, let alone the poor Mexicans.
Very informative, shame about all the adverts! Sounds like the rain is going to be more of a problem

Good coverage on TV from CNN

Hello Andy, know of the area fairly well. Never have been to Bruck but have skied in Rauris on the borders with Salzburg Province and Karten. Sometimes, we can see the distinctive arrow top peak of the Kitzsteinhorn Mountain that dominates Kaprun. Glad you enjoyed your stay in Austria.

We took the cable car up Kitzsteinhorn Mountain, amazing experience! also a swim in Zell am See lake, also Sigmund-Thun Gorge is well worth a visit, just for the colour of the water behind the dam

Hi, where did you visit ?C
We stayed in Bruck, in the region of Kaprun

Just got back from Austria, lovely place! just missed out on the real heat with temps around 25C and the day we travelled to Salzburg it rained all day!
But still a lovely country to visit

Still going strong, lightning every few seconds, all around me, just when you think it's moving off it goes mental again!
-
I have not seen lightning like this in the UK before! It is non stop! And better than a couple of weeks ago, as this is overhead

Very high based lightning, and was great sitting in garden watching it flash all around me, then the heavy rain came, so had to shoot inside! Still rumbling away, fantastic storm!
