  1. Certainly thunder here (a few miles south-southwest of Norwich) during the passage of the cold fronts/squall line, those Netweather radar lightning overlay suggested they we to the east of my location.

I know there was thunder in your area, It was just Mikey is only a couple of miles from me, and I had not heard thunder? yet his original post seemed to say he had heard thunder, that's why I was asking.

  2. Hello Andy, I work in stanstead abbotts. The squall lasted about 5-10 mins and was quite lively, should have filmed it on my phone. I heard there was thunder in Norwich but I couldn't hang around for reports here as I had so much to get done. :)

Sorry I thought you said you heard thunder, that's why i asked?

Showers keep dying off from the west cannot see much getting here tonight

  3. If it makes its way down to the south I can see an inch or two settling, more on higher ground

I am sure the Met are watching it closely, would be a nice bonus to compensate for the rain/sleet this morning

Been watching it for most of the afternoon, and it's not making any inroads South, so not expecting it to get anywhere near us

  4. Ok, sorry i will shut up. Sorry guys and girls.

Getting carried away, as I always do when these events happen. :D

    Mickey

No good looking at detail just yet, all to play for, this keeps being nudged North and then South again, even by tomorrow night this might not be nailed on!

I remember the year before last no warnings yet we had trees snapped in half! And this was in hertford 5 minutes up the road, I have the pictures some where

  5. Just got back from morroco, and the weather was horrendous! Did not stop raining, some of the locals were saying it's the worst storms they have had for over 20 years! It's a bit like us if we have a few inches of snow, they just did not know what to do! The first night we ended up with 3" of water all over the hotel floor!

Really nothing more than an autumn storm for us, but for a country not used to having rain, they were really struggling!
