  1. Well as indicated by the NAE, the stuff currently across the SE is now heading Northwards, so there could be a further spell of light snow later this evening for some.

Looks like an event with very small margins - I've just been sent pictures from Hertford (about 25 mins from here) who have had about 2 inches so far

    SK

2 inches is spot on, but deeper in places where it has drifted, not had any more fall for about an hour though

  2. Looking at the radar everything seems to be going to plan.

Just want to highlight this for Sunday because the GFS keeps predicting this.

Heavy snow moving NW during Sunday afternoon into the evening. Could be rather marginal for those right on the E coast though.

Dave, maybe it is me worrying from being in similar situations before! But that snow that has built all day, and then stalled about 20 miles away from me! What are the chances of the front tomorrow stalling in the same postion?

  3. Just add what I said in the model discussion thread.

Have to be honest Nick im not surprised the models are beginning to be less keen on moving this front E. I said in the regional discussion thread this afternoon that members in E Anglia need to be cautious and to not get their hopes up too high. Sometimes in these situations you are actually better off using experience from past events than using the models.

So im going to come off the fence and say those in E Anglia/SE might only see a dusting and only that applies to those in the W of these regions. I can see locations such as Norwich remaining dry. I reckon the extent of this front will be probably around Birmingham and even the W Midlands will see this front weaken. I would love to be wrong but I remain unconvinced of the BBC forecasts and feel the Met O warnings are OTT.

    I used to like you!!
