-
small storm just came through
-
Very Loud Thunder here now
-
Couple of rumbles of Thunder here, and a hail shower
-
Still next to no rain here! Thought it was going to be a wash out today but not a drop
-
-
Some unbelivable pictures here
-
Looking at your photo you're most welcome.
Lol must be snowing, dave flirting!
-
Strange tonight, almost an hour an half of constant snow but although there is a covering no where near as deep as you would expect
-
Coming down nicely here, starting to cover
-
Quick update.
Now this system has moved further S than band of snow will see less W-E movement but more NW-SE. So a few more hrs of snow for my location and for those in the far SE i.e Suffolk it could still be snowing in the morning!
Also if the models remain unchanged this front will be moving back W during monday night/Tues although I don't know how active it will be just yet.
Dave do you think it might stall in herts? Got a good covering but getting greedy now
-
At this rate and looking at the radar, I think we could end up with a foot of snow!!
-
Never seen snow settle this quick! Pavements already covering only been snowing a few minutes
-
Just started here, settling easily
-
Looks like NW record of people online will go at some point today
-
Question, what's the deal with lamposts? Someone up thread mentioned looking at the radars and lamposts. I get the radar but is lampost code for something?
Lol post of the day, it means watching the lamposts to see if snow is falling
-
bull shi...
You know better then? If so please tell!!
-
Paul, looks like there might be an error, but is showing on all radars, on the NW one if you run the 2hr loop right near the end it just appears??
-
i cannot belive how quite this thread is? this place should be buzzing
-
Why not view the runs yourself then go to the model thread to compare your views against others. Or just wait until after the run comes out to go in there? At the moment FI is 72hrs and with different models churning out at the same time they are showing different things hence the confusion
Tim, iam not having a go at anyone, or the model thread, I just find it frustrating with certain posters commenting on every chart like a yoyo, I have no idea what I am looking at or looking for,
I just think that if we let the whole run finish and let people comment at the end, it will stop the bickering and people like me can make a judgement on their take on the run
-
I wish they would only open the model thread once a run has fully finished!!! as somebody that has not got a clue about the charts its very confusing, we get people posting early on in the run saying winters over, and then later on in the run, WOW best run for the last few days!! maybe have a thread for each run and then only open it at the end of the run, so people can comment on the whole run not just few charts!! At the moment as far as i can make out, on Saturday i will be going to work in T shirt and shorts but also taking a suitcase with all my thermals, gloves, hat and scarve in, just in case!!

They still look pretty intense to me and pressure is currently falling so I expect them to make it into beds bucks and west Herts at least.
just had another look and, almost becoming an organised band, thining out but more intesity?
-
Heavy batch of snow showers now pushing into Oxfordshire and towards SW Northants. Could be interesting over the region in an hours time if the showers can hold their intensity!
looking at the radar, they will not get this far east?
-
but is it not just exactly the same as raintoday?
no its a 100 times better!!
