  1. You must have had something damp in the car, or condensation from the heater formed if you left the door open too long after last journey.
  2. Fridays snow seems delayed until the weekend now on Countryfile forecast. For the Midlands, a good chance of snow from Tuesday onwards. Not bucketloads, but certainly some snow.
  3. Well...I am not too excited by all this ramping that's for sure. Maybe when I actually see something fall out the sky on tuesday I will feel different.
  4. Just seen the BBC forecast and the main snow will be Friday.
  5. A chance of a dusting of snow on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Anything more will be a bonus.
  6. Looks like I will have to lower my expectations for this week. If I see one single snow flake falling I will be happy. Not seen anything here since before christmas.
  7. Radar shows some snow showers comiming in from the North Sea. Wind direction shows it's possible we could see a light flurry later if they have not fizzled out by the time they reach the Birmingham area.
  8. This cold spell is a big disappointment so far. Unless it snows more than 6 centimetres this week, we may as well just have mild SW'lys. Edit..Even 1cm would be nice.
  9. Who cares about the SE anyway? Last time I looked this was the Midlands thread.
  10. It seems to be showers from Bristol intensified where the NE and NW winds joined up. I am no expert, but that's what I saw on rewind of the radar.
  11. I feel like James Bond after reading the Model thread with all that ramping. (reminds me of ski jumping) Words like worst storm ever for SE and Central England between 7th - 12th January. Haven't we heard all this before and nothing ever happened in years gone by.
  12. Any snow in that light east breeze? Otherwise a waste of time.
  13. It hasn't fizzled out as someone earlier seemed to suggest. Still looks ok.
  14. Yeh, that snow from Sheffield starting to show in north Midlands heading for Nottingham. It's moving very slow.
  15. Even in the Model output thread they can't decide if it's going to snow or not. Too much arguing! I find it's always best just look out the window, as you don't need a supercomputer to see what's happening. I don't think the Metoffice have a computer that looks out the window, maybe that's what they are doing wrong! Anyone got a cat? Hope not, as I am allergic to them.
  16. I walked to local shop a bit earlier and it was not exactly warm, but not freezing either, but there was a cool breeze. Temperature is falling quite fast now though. Now 1.5°C Not giving up yet.
  17. Just been a shower here...it was rain. Could be another shower soon as more heading this way from Stratford. Dewpoint is 0.7°C temp 1.7°C Marginal for snow, but the night is young and temps will fall further.
  18. Meto warning still says upto 3cm possible for my area tonight. I am not expecting it to be right though.
  19. There are showers coming from Sheffield that seem to becoming more intense as they move south. I think it's our next best chance of snow later tonight.
  20. Hi Serendipity. Dewpoints are marginal, and here dewpoint is 0.1°C with temp of 2.8° Looking at the radar, about where you are is currently the changeover point from rain to snow. No precipitation here yet, but I see the very dark clouds approaching out the window.
