  1. That's where the heaviest snow is predicted to be, but snow is hard to predict........and it's moving south. I would hope that everyone either side of these main bands has at least some snow.
  2. This map I have drawn is similar to the bands of snow expected overnight shown on BBC Look East weather earlier.
  3. Had blizzard like conditions for 10 minutes at Balsall Common around 1:30pm but not seen any snow since then. Currently in North Oxfordshire and it's clear sky and zero°C
  4. Most places in the UK are still well above freezing, at about 4°C or higher. Christmas day is forecast at 10°C at my location on Accuweather. I don't see much time left for any cold weather.
  5. Last night everyone was looking at the charts and saying it was going to be -15°C next week, and yet some sites (accuW) are quoting 10°C daytime temps for my location on Christmas day.. Was everyone wrong or are the professionals correct?
  6. It was snowing at Gaydon on the M40 J12 this evening on way home about 5PM.
  7. M6 Leicestershire - Snow both ways between Catthorpe Interchange and J1, Rugby, hazardous driving conditions. M45 Northamptonshire - Snow both ways between Dunchurch and A45 Coventry Road, hazardous driving conditions. M42 Warwickshire - Snow both ways between J3A M40 and M5 J4A, hazardous driving conditions.
  8. Here in Rugby my road is covered in snow even after the heavy rain earlier. The foundations have been laid.
  9. All seems bang on track so far from yesterdays BBC/MO forecast. Light rain here in Solihull at the moment. Should start turning to snow between 4pm to 6pm for south Midlands.
  10. Just been playing with the BBC weather site putting in some postcodes. The ones showing heavy snow are in Oxfordshire (OX1) and Buckinghamshire (MK1) Birmingham B1 just says cloudy. Coventry CV1 says sunny intervals all day. BBC website is not known for it's accuracy though, but it's interesting.
  11. They dropped from 4.5 to 1°C in an hour when I was in Banbury earlier this evening, and it was always snowing even at 4.5°C Would not be surprised if same thing happens tomorrow. Am back in Rugby now as usual for the week, and am hoping for lots of snow tomorrow night, after I have got home from work in Solihull.
  12. The met office / BBC, has been very accurate upto now. People quoting the models in this thread have been very wrong for last weeks snow. All I can say is we all look out the window tomorrow evening, as that will be the most acccurate forecast.
  13. What downgrade? I don't call 8 inches of snow for the Midlands a downgrade.
  14. BBC has just repeated what I said originally and same as what ITV said earlier this evening. Heaviest of the snow for the Midlands...upto 8inches. It will be heavy rain at first which will turn to heavy snow in the evening or late afternoon.
  15. South Midlands Northwards I would say for Snow Monday Night/Tuesday. Clear North of N.Wales is what was forecast on ITV weather.
  16. Met Office have been spot on with this snow since it started last week. GFS has been useless
  17. Radar shows last of tonights snow will be over Oxfordshire/Buckinghamshire. The worst is nearly over for most of us tonight.
  18. ITV weather just been on TV. Siann LLoyd said rain for the south tomorrow, and snow for the Midlands, and clear from a line North Wales upwards.
  19. All the people that spent 2 hours clearing their driveways this weekend have wasted their time, as they are all covered again now. Just seen Coventry live on ITV news and the snow is heavy there.
  20. Very heavy snow and massive flakes in Banbury now Flakes the size of ten pound notes. well almost!
  21. I think Warwickshire will get the worst of it tonight, as that was the last Severe weather warning issued.
