  1. No chance, it’s 1.4c here and pouring with rain - moving your way
  2. What’s this talk of “get the cold in first” Last night was -6c here and -2c until 10am with light snow flurries It’s now pouring with rain in a northerly flow. Get the cold in first means diddly squat!
  3. Haha Thats U.K. cold spells for ya. Pouring down here currently and cold. Don’t get much worse for a New years day that carries on from the previous one
  4. So frustrating, ppn here Raining You bet, when the parameters are good for snow there will be no ppn Aka.. past week
  5. 1.9c Here in Woburn. Rain just started Only in the U.K. can it feel cold enough for snow, but still rain ? My heating works overdrive for cold rain. what a taste
  6. Always the way Cold enough for snow = Dry Not cold enough for snow = Wet
  7. Agree, how fitting we finally get Precip and it’s wet sleet at best. Fingers crossed those 10 day charts hold up (a miracle) but no harm in wishing.
  8. Friend confirms moderate rain showers in Huntingdon Cambs. what a shame DPs weren’t colder
  9. Light rain here just started. Higher Dp’s spreading south Nice to see the light snowfall this morning before it turned warmer
  10. Right on cue. When DPs are too high = showers incoming from the North Looks like a showery, wet late afternoon/evening for us. Can always guarantee ppn when the parameters are not conclusive for Snow
  11. Light snow flurries here around 8am - settled Temp now risen, frost vanished and it’s raining moderately Coldest temps being pushed away SW
  12. Looking dry in our region in the reliable 5/7 days at least No sign of snow and no heavy rainfall (thank god) bar the odd drizzle
  13. Keep the faith. Still 3 months of winter left. I agree with you, our region looks snowless for the reliable.
  14. Still 0c here at Noon crisp & Dry. So much better than the Atlantic onslaught
  15. PPN way off to France already would have fallen as rain/sleet anyway
  16. 10 days ago from Christmas Day we were in with a shot 10 days ago we were in with a shot for a snowy tomorrow Moral of the story. 10 day charts are pure entertainment 10 days on, another snowless 7 days awaits You get the picture
  17. Meto Website has my location (Woburn) bone dry for the next 7 days Looking at latest runs id sadly have to agree Looking cold, dry and cloudy. Snowless which is a shame but thankfully we get a break from the past 3 months deluge of rain.
  18. I Agree. Easterlies are far more reliable than a Low Pressure System in from West. However 4th Jan Is still a long way off for either a Convective activity bombard to a damp drizzle damp squib. fingers crossed it’s showing 12T
  19. What with this predicted 48hrs ago via Meto and models. Anything showing 4th Jan onwards is fantasy. I suggest to everyone to keep it real and keep your sanity for anything remotely wintery T24 Maximum
  20. It’s said this all Day, since 5 this morning Dont put to much faith in an iPhone weather app. My elder aunt has been more reliable than that app.
  21. With you on this @winterfreak Bet your turkey leftovers if this was a rain event we’d all be soaked through come Thursday
  22. Just reposting from @Kentspur Hope you don’t mind mate 12 hours on and Models and BBC TV forecasts of this, are a distant 12 hour memory. Can you believe us taxpayers are paying for this inaccuracy. Joe public must be baffled “Snow end of the week kids” Watches tonight forecast “Not a flake, sorry kids
