  1. Would rather see pointless Snow falling then pointless cold rain!
  2. Yet Matt Taylor on national weather saying ‘Probably not much of a covering across the SE.’ Talk about contradictions- classic BBC
  3. BBC Breakfast news local forecast going for a couple CMs tomorrow morning across London and the South East. Would expect a warning to be issued later today.
  4. PPN decaying like no tomorrow. Nice to hear reports of snow north of the region if rather wet and pitiful. Maybe Saturday might held some wet sleet amongst yet more rainfall that we don’t need
  5. Drizzle fest incoming for most of the region before dying off. Groundbreaking.....
  6. If only that glimmer were a reality Nice to look at, but I’m sure we can all agree that ECM snow charts are absolutely useless. I should have been buried 5 times over by snowfall in the past 4 weeks. The rest is history- RAIN RAIN RAIN
  7. Finally stopped raining here in central Beds. Hoping the ppn continues to decay, roads and fields completely flooded.
  8. Sleet here just started Looking at the ever decaying ppn that looks as if the best I’ll get.
  9. With you on that mate. When interior Spain picks up to 50cm of snow and Madrid city collects 40cm - it’s something only dreams are made of for us in the U.K. And they can guarantee a hot summer 2021 with storms every so often.
  10. Seems the form horse so far this winter. When it’s to warm for snow = ppn shall fall When its cold enough = bone dry
  11. Hey @Kentspur Totally agree mate. Meto is incredibly inaccurate some of the time, but at least they don’t BOOM us with Nirvana posts and ‘Winter nailed’ ‘Dead cert’ ‘No going back, winter nailed on’ which was happening only two days ago.
  12. I’m not venturing into that thread going forward. I’ll stick to the Met Office and you folk in here
  13. Signs of ppn backing west now However with it fragmenting and becoming lighter, expect more rain before it peters out to leave us with a frosty/icy night once skies clears especially NE of region
  14. The ppn is fragmenting by the hour. No sign of it backing west. At least the cold rain has finally stopped falling here before another deluge Saturday morning. Off for a stiff G&T with elderflower and to kill some Zombies on the PS4
  15. Local Brook has burst its banks. Can’t even continue our usual walk toward the park.
  16. Yes it’s definitely decaying. Way to marginal anyway away from the Northern most of the region
  17. Really need to see that ppn back westward again. Precip just not heavier enough SW of Peterborough
  18. 4c here in Woburn, Bedfordshire Raining with extreme flooding around local roads.
  19. Flooding around here is horrendous Never seen my front garden under water before.
  20. Heavy snow from 2pm tomorrow in central Beds to light snow until 7pm for once, please let it be right!!
  21. The ECM snow accumulations are just pure fantasy. They are never correct. I remember it showing 25cm for me in 2018 12 hours out for one afternoon. 4cm fell that day.
  22. Looking at the models/TV forecasts/ online forecast from meto - all combined: A real chance northern Home Counties May just see the rain switch to snow tomorrow afternoon, especially with such a slow moving front backing west. Guess a lot will depend on intensity of any ppn as usual.
  23. TV forecast on BBC 1 news evening just now. Rain tomorrow, Rain Thursday for our region. No mention of sleet or snow except for Northern areas of the U.K. Lincolnshire northwards according to BBC
