  1. Kevin, that 1996 setup is eerily similar to ours, in fact so similar that it's the the same sort of evolution as today.. sleet to begin, then heavy snow later on, with big accumulations! Interestingly despite all that snow, we didn't get severe overnight temperatures.
  2. Told you you get more snow than us.. it's like an aqua fest out there right now
  3. Ground still wet here, no settling, but it's almost completely stopped now anyway
  4. sleet earlier.. no real snow yet this year.. will change tomorrow.. but will it settle.. not sure.. certainly though if it freezes it will
  5. its like a type of sleety snow here.. waiting for it to settle..
  6. It's been a while since Wales seen snow like this. I'm meant to be heading to Llandudno on Tuesday, I don't think snow will settle in Llandudno, or if it does it will melt very quickly, but here it might not melt so quick, thats the issue. Take care you guys in the south of Wales
  7. Discrimination lol.. you all live in Wallasey you can all have a big snowball fight, but here i'm isolated.. lol
  8. Mirror Park in Heswall here, very steep, you can reach up to 30mph down those slopes.. also the added brilliance of holly bushes right at the bottom. We used to ride the sledges and had to jump off before you hit the holly or you would have a very painful walk home.
  9. Its looking similar to here, snow, settling but not a lot of it.. the mountains of Wales may take a fair bit of the energy out of it for both of us, but we should get some.
  10. the latest news 24 forecast wasn't so encouraging.. snow struggling to make it to our region at all, and even a hint of rain over Wirral which suggests light preciptation.. that said you never know what will actually happen until it happens!
  11. Sorry but it definitely did change a little on the 10.40pm but the change was that it just extended a bit westwards, no one's missing out.. I was keeping a close eye on it as I'm meant to be travelling on Tuesday
  12. The same eastwards extent as before.. covered most of the region though including the eastern side. As far as I know though the amber warning has always been dodgy for the far north (Cumbria)
  13. the BBC forecast at 10.40 did take into account the latest data because it extended the amber warning further westward, as I was looking for Llandudno, and whilst it wasn't on there pre 10.40pm, it was on the 10.40pm
  14. The 18z shows all of the region getting hit.. I find it very unlikely that all of the region won't get some settling snow.. it seems very unrealistic given the setup. The eastern part of the region may get less precipitation but still they should get at least a few cm of unmelting snow. I think expectations are the problem here... if you expect a foot of snow based on what outputs say then you are destined to be disappointed. be realistic, most of us would have taken 2-5cm before last night
  15. People are clearly worrying about nothing here.. all of the region will see decent amounts of snow.
  16. Just let them have the day off.. no customers would be in anyway.. and.. lets face it, the night staff wont bother going in..you know what theyre like?
  17. Eno equator hahaha.. that could be taken the wrong way lol.. Eno Eruator.
  18. Haha a great big gaping hole... That's the new we know and love
  19. There is no chance for the band being all rain, this is silly.. however there is a small chance that for a time, it may turn to rain at the back edge of the front, but at the moment, not much chance of that
