    Oh look, more cloud and drizzle for the north West Midlands this morning. Absolutely dreadful start to July here.

    GFS suggests a couple of decent days for those north of Birmingham from Sunday. More in the way of cloud from Tuesday ( also shown on the ECM) from midweek. Fax charts will have the detail. Looks great for most of southern England though.

    Met office Fax charts paint a familiar picture of high pressure and occluded fronts. Basically, if it’s cloudy and rainy today like most of the NW, it’s going to be the same until at least 120hrs away.

    Sunday and Monday are looking cloud free and hot even for NW England and most of Scotland

    7 day forecast for my area is either light clouds or dark clouds. No heatwave or sun

    A cloudy outlook this week for most of the west and generally north of Birmingham. If the sun comes out it’s going to feel very warm. Meanwhile London and the South East warm up significantly with 27c possible by Sunday.

    Just like winter - GFS & ICON teasing people whilst the ECM & UKMO suggest nothing to get excited about. 20c and mainly cloudy skies.

    I was expecting a washout weekend but apart from a very brief thunderstorm it has been mostly sunny and warm. Not a bad month so far for us in the North Midlands.
