  1. This muck just ain't shifting today, had that look of getting brighter about lunchtime but no. Looking at the satellite its pretty thick everywhere and I think we'll be lucky to get any glimpse of sunshine at all today. Absolute rubbish for June 🤮

  2. More cloud around today although that was to be expected, surprisingly warmer than I thought it was going to feel especially after the glorious day yesterday. Sun trying to break through so really hoping for some nice late evening sunshine but overall its so far been a good bank holiday weekend weather wise.

Many do think that the clear bit is the extent of the UK.  Sad.

Excuse me for sounding dumb but I'm assuming Lockerbie is somewhere up Scotland, in which case I do apologise as you guys are the only ones today who seem to have struck unlucky with a slight cold/rain front across you.

Way back in 1976, my bro and I came across some artificial tanning lotion and ended up looking like a pair of zebras! 😁

😂 I did the same thing with some of my mum's tanning lotion except I rubbed my hands in it and ended up going to school with one half of my hands white, the other dark brown. I will add I was really young when I did it 😆

    mmmm...lovely chemical wash, so healthy!😂

Tbf we come into contact with plenty of chemicals each day we just don't think about it. Also I'm not an advocate for/or trying to peddle self tan, don't use the stuff personally having sensitive skin but pointing out its a healthier way of getting a tan reducing the risk of skin damage from uv radiation.

Great and there was me thinking my birthday would match the likes of 2018,19 and 20 with long clear spells of sunny weather.

Even 2021 had recovered by this stage to give some very warm sunny weather. Last year was thundery and warm on my birthday.

Still clear and warm in west London now. I’ll pop out for a walk. Glad to be away from the city of London until next Tuesday.

    Happy Birthday mate 🥳

Blimey. Just spotted BBC weather app says 23c on June 3rd. I will have to dispense with my thermal socks at this rate.

I know, I thought it was a blip and anything can change 10+ days out (hope not, I'm enjoying this spell of warmth 🤞). Possibility of pushing the 25c bracket.

Wore my thickest winter coat on school run this morning. I was the only parent in a coat LOL

😆 To be fair it's the first morning I've gone on the school run without a coat and I've sent the kids in without their jackets too, we all feel the cold differently so I never judge 😊

Already 19c at Brize Norton. Depending on cloud cover, I wouldn't be surprised to see 21c for some today.

wouldn't surprise me either, I've put shorts on for the first time this year and don't feel the need for longer sleeves.

I still have a light jacket, sweater and t shirt. Feels comfortable, but I don’t feel hot at all.

Definitely far from hot but feeling a lot more May like than we have had. Hope it long lasts 🤞

It appears that you may get at least 4 more days over 20c in the coming week. Met office is forecasting 19c for greater London today.  17c seems unlikely given the warmth already in situ this morning.

agree there, its already at 17c here and it felt very warm from the get go, almost a complete turn around from the beginning of the week. Hopefully its the start of summer finally returning to the UK.

After the weekends pleasantness it’s back to late March feel to things this morning! A cold raw breeze from the north and the kids have their winter coats on walking to school again.

100% it was a shocker walking out the door this morning especially after being treated to a spring like weekend.

It started clearing around 12 and was mostly clear by 2. It's lush now.

Same here its been clear since around mid morning and been one of the first days of the whole season to feel somewhat remotely spring like. I think west is best for sunshine today and have also been rather shocked to see the bbc app change tomorrows forecast from rain to sunny although it remains to be seen but as far as today goes I'm really pleased and the mood positively lifted
