  1. Them ice pellets are settling now, cars turning white, if it hadn't of rained 1st it would have been a decent covering by now.
  2. This is heaviest stuff I have had so far, stingy Euro4 shows SNOW!!!!!!!!!!! Edit; Thats chart for midnight.
  3. If you look carefully you will see some ice pellets/graupel sort of rubbish mixed in, I bet ya!
  4. ice pellets now, quite heavy too, turned all wet. Anyone else getting this rubbish?
  5. We should be in -10c uppers and dp's of 0c or -1c, this is meant to be the coldest hour, its not meant to be warming up until tomorrow and yet its bloody raining.
  6. It was even being compared to....erm 1947 if I remember correctly, exactly 70 years ago.
  7. Strange the radar shows PPN right over you, or maybe just to your east.
  8. same, expected a few more showers after one hit here earlier this evening but nothing.
  9. Yes its all further west where the PPN intensifies somehow, in the east of London and south PPN is not making it very far inland at all though, its just fizzling out.
  10. A shower deposited a sprinkling of snow on the car about 3 hrs ago, and its still all there, funny how now that the temps have dropped and are good for snow there is hardly any PPN around.
  11. Will it make it here though, I was thinking we should do ok as far East as London from that lot, we are near the center of the LP after all and winds will veer back to the east later. But my worry is that it will be the Kent clipper that dominates in this set up and much of the SE will be in that gaping hole in the PPN thats been showing. In which case lets all drive down to Dover for a snow Beano jaffa cakes up! hehe
  12. Same here, am really surprised that its turned to very light snow here.
  13. Yes I noticed them too. Showers really picking up also North of the Norfolk Coast and towards the Wash too, seems to be a straight easterly now.
  14. East Kent may end up being the honey pot, think there might be some heavier PPN around near the center of the little low thats forming.
  15. 12z out. Unfortunately that hole in Saturdays PPN just wants to get bigger over the SE. Was thinking best place might be up towards Buxton, might go for a drive up that way.
  16. I find it really interesting, think its a great outdoors job that would keep you very fit too. Got a cousin who's a lumberjack, he said to me not to bother trying to use my dads chain saws since I most likely will end up chopping a leg off. He could have offered to show me how to use one safely though, bit ignorant. I have to admit that my dad agreed with him though.
  17. Good money though once your qualified, I had 2 medium trees cut down last year cost few hundred and he was cheap apparently, could have cost nearer a thousand. Is it very dangerous to use the chain saw? My dad had some but I have never used them.
  18. Same here, nothing on radar but in fact its been raining for about half an hour, all rain though no sleet in it. If it had been snow there would have been a covering by now since everything is wet.
  19. Anyone notice this little trough moving in from the east coast on the latest fax chart, could pep up shower activity tomorrow morning.
  20. Saturday's ppn. I seem to be in that hole in the PPN, looks to be pretty sleety to me anyway in the afternoon, so best of any snow will be in the morning.
