    Still snowing moderately here, as it has been for the last 3 hours. I thought I might get a flurry out of this cold spell...

    Moderate snow here with a good covering on the E Sussex/W Sussex border. Gardens look almost completely white now, which is always a good sign, although a bit of a misleading indicator this year as everyone's continued to mow their lawns due to the mild temperatures

    Light to moderate snow in Haywards Heath for the last hour and a half - beginning to settle on cars and grass but it's pretty wet out there.

    Temperature hovering around freezing here, periodically going within 0.5c either way as the cloud comes and goes. Light dusting from Tuesday still mostly untouched, which shows how cold it has been

    A moderate snow shower here - quite grainy but is falling in decent-sized flakes now. Looks like there could be more to come as well!

    I've been away for the day but have come back to a few mm on roads, cars and grass etc. Had a heavy snow shower coming through places like Godstone and Lingfield this evening.

    A moderate spell of snow last night and then another moderate shower this morning which settled for the short time that it went on for. I think that could well be it for winter now, at least down here anyway. It's been pretty good by Sussex standards though.

    A sleety snow shower this morning and then hail around midday. Looks like a big rash of showers heading this way in the next hour or two though.

    Winds picking up here in haywards Heath and the snow starting to come down a bit more heavily now as well. Still a slushy, patchy layer of snow on grass - can't say in all honesty that it looks particulary attractive yet!

    Wet snow all day, ranging from light/moderate to heavy with some sleet interspersed from time to time. Is now settling in a slushy mix on the cars and is making a darn good attempt to settle on grass. Very wet on roads though.

    -8.2C in Basingstoke? That's pretty remarkable considering the minimum recorded was approx. -9C. Basingstoke wouldn't have struck me as one of the more notorious frost hollows in the south. Still, if that's what you recorded!

    Dunno if this is the best place to put this but anyway - check out the temps in Europe courtest of xcweather: at 12.38pm Valladolid (Spain) -4C Rodez (France - i was there last summer and it was in the high 30's) -8C Torino (Italy) -6C Metz (France) -7C Luxembourg -5C Siegerland (Germany) -8C Incredibly cold temperatures in Western Europe today!

    Partly cloudy here, just had a snow flurry and have a temperature of -0.2C, with a mimimum of -5.6C overnight.

    A light snow flurry here in West Sussex lasting about 10 minutes.

    Woke up to heavy snow which melted away as the snow continued to fall but temperatures warmed up. Hvae been having heavy snow showers all morning which see the temperature drop and the wind pick up, and which usually leave a temporary covering which has all but thawed before the next shower comes along. It's all very interesting though. I'm enjoying it

    negligible amounts now but probably a cm or two this morning here in west sussex before it thawed when new snow fell on top of it.
