  3. Sounds like a good idea to put it up higher  , seen as your not far from the sea i would say that your RH is correct, i have my Temp sensor on a 1 metre pole attached to my bathroom roof, and the data seems to be not affected in any way.
  4. Our grass is green, well i say grass its more like a few weeds growing through the patio.
  5. Some nice ones in there: Hilton 4 Dave2010 3 - Like that one alot Dave2010 4 Tornadomanuk 1 - True British Winter Tornadomanuk 2
  6. It may be picking moisture up from the ground, try and get it away from the ground and any walls etc, as thye can give false readings. However if you have mist or dew and it reads quite high then i would say its working o.k.
  7. Well it all depends on the weather you have. Here in Worcester the max humidity i have recorded was 96% but only lasted for a few hours close to a weather front. What is the reading at present??
  8. ok here are some, i can remember a few that where posted but cannot find them (only 1 or two though), so here they are:
  9. If it has a solar cell it may not be getting enough light, i have all mine facing in a southely direction so that they can get all th elight, it also needs to be quite exposed as well. If it is not solar powered then they may be something interfering with it, if you imagine line of sight from the console to the sensor what exactly is in its way?
  10. After the pobs you have OON i am almost glad i didnt get a V/P.
  11. Snow pellets falling here in worcs @ 16:30 - Now (17:22) TEMP: 2.3 DEW: -0.9 PRESSURE: 1020 STABLE HUM: 79% WIND: E at 2 MPH
  12. No it doesnt appear to be, still looks pretty good though.
  13. Good news all, light snow for eastern and central areas tomorrow as far west as the Cotswold, could see a nice dusting. Day time temps in the next few days very cold with a biting windchill.
  14. Good one mate, i take it you have the Weather Display software to enbale you to upload and view the curent readings?
  15. I always thought that prep was anything that fell from a cloud, whereas i would have thought that dew or frost forms on surfaces and does not fall?? Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precipitation_(meteorology)
  16. Yes, my Sensors all work at 433mhz, the VP2 wireless is even higher than that, so at those frequencies very little can interfere with them. As for the rest everything works fine, but i must say that all the sensors are located a good distance from any devices like the ones you mentioned.
  17. I got all the stuff needed to mount it (i.e u bolts etc) with the actual weather station, so i had everything (bar a rather large pole) to mount it straight away. With setting mine up i was quite lucky becuase previously there was an airband radio mast (not that large) on my roof which attached to 2 u bolts, luckely for me the pole went into the 2 bolts and it was very easy to install. Although i did have to climb up onto the top roof, from which had quite a hard frost on :o :o :o , not usually scared of heights but it really put the s**t up me ..
  18. My wireless anemometer works great and i have had no problems or flase readings what so ever. Its located not far from my TV aerial but works fine, i guess its becuase it is completely wireless so there is no medium to which can interfer with the signal. As most other people have said ( if it is cabled) then it may be good practice to earth it to release static build up as apposed to a lightning strike. But to be fair if your sensor gets a direct hit its days are over even if it has a conductor.
  19. Well i think i'll just ponder about it for a while longer, as if anythings going to attract the lightning, not far from my house is a full size Radio mast that rises above everything, and in the 15 years the t.v mast has been up and through all the t-storms its never got hit (Touch wood).
  20. All my pics in that thread seem to have dissappeard!!
  21. Oh yes, i remember that - Come to think of it, i dont think there was any voting!
  22. Hi, i have now sorted the problem, but thanks for your reply, getting the hang of the software now it looked abit complex for me at first but its great softweare.
