    The more I look at the models, I would not be surprised if we have a 10 Dec 2017 type event in the next 10 days or so. Clash of cold air from the N with a jet tracking across the south of the country Maybe I am being overly optimistic but one to watch

    Potential for a snow event on some of the models for Thursday night. Further east you are the better. But still quite some time away and could disappear altogether

    A nice dusting of snow here in Harborne. Bodes well for tomorrow- snow should easily settle on top of this. Been a good winter here so far

    28 January 2004: a memorable event. A system swung through from the north which was not really forecast. Thundersnow and a rapid fall of snow. 4 inches fell in the space of 2-3 hours late afternoon. Absolute gridlock everywhere with people having to abandon their cars and walk home. The next day was a snow day

    I totally agree with this. So much going on in the background that no model has a confident grip on what’s going to happen beyond T72-96

    Good covering here in Harborne. I am guessing that about 1 inch has fallen. In the middle of a snow shower now which should last at least another 30-45 mins

    Yep looks like from the radar everything is sliding to the west of Birmingham.

    From the radar, it looks to me that the precipitation is heading southwest towards Wales and may miss Birmingham south. Or am I reading it wrong?
