  1. Taking my family to Hisaronu on may the 7th for a 2 week break,, it;s basicly in Olu Deniz/Turkey.. Whats the usual weather there for this time of year???? I'm hoping for sunshine,,,obviously,, but a friend of mine said there were a few thunderstorms there, this time last year when he went. Either way would be good... Idealy with the storms,
  2. You are right, Thunder city- Cape town have had to stop operating their Lightnings/ buccaneers and Hunters due to lack of funds, which is a huge shame. Probably the only left oppurtunity to see Lightnings or Buccs in the world. We do still have the Vulcan though, which is something to be gratefull for, along with several Hunters,,, at least for now anyway. Did you ever see that taxi run at Bruntingthorpe of the Victor which ended up turning into an aborted landing after taking offf by accident, It's on the youtube channel... AMAZING
  3. Hope your right with the somerset prediction, not had a storm her since 2009. Definately be keeping an eye on this. Will the chance be greater in the afternoon/evening?
  4. No storms for Bridgwater this year yet, can't imagine going all year without one though. Fingers crossed for August being a more active month for my area
  5. Not sure how many are unusable, but i'll still keep em. Sometimes if a image is no good it may still look good if you convert it to black n white. Got quite a few shots of the Lancaster and also the messerschmitts in formation with the spits, its just finding the time to sort through them all. Yeoviltons good if you view the show from outside the airfield. If you go on base your shooting into the sun all day, making it hard to get a good exposure
  6. Thanks Pat, I seem to get lucky with the weather at Fairford, been going on the Saturday every year since 2000 and always had sun, except for 2008 obviously. I have more but need to sort through them. I took 2300 shots throughout the day, but many of them are not usable.Cheers Paul
  7. Thanks for the comments, I use a Canon digital slr with a Sigma 50-500mm lens, its a fairly good lens as long as you have sunshine, other wise it struggles to focus

  11. Quick question. Is there any risk of storms breaking out across somerset, or the surrounding area?
  12. A thundery feel to the weather here today, but i'm a little too far south by the sounds of it?
