  1. Just going by bbc weather, showers will feed north through our area but will be fairly well scattered, as moving north they will gather strength and become more organised, but that's just the forecast off the tv. I know nothing
  2. Storms look well scattered and not particularly intense down here but midlands north, if the bbc is right, is where we want to be tonight.
  3. Looking good for Somerset tonight if it all goes to plan. This happened the other week mind
  4. Bit like what the bbc graphics were showing . Random scattered showers becoming more organised and intensifying as they reach further north. I reckon showers/storms will be fairly weak this far south.
  5. I wouldnt be surprised at all if it went south east. Bbc points West have a habit of over dramatising such events. Hopefully their right this time though
  6. Thunder potential for tomorrow night is slowly diminishing for the West with more emphasis being put on the east
  7. Heat builds from the south again Friday ahead of thunder storms moving north friday night. Just mentioned on bbc
  8. What's the situation with Friday night. Are we expecting a widespread thundery breakdown or more of a localised event. I notice that the whole of the south has a high storm risk from Friday evening onwards.
  9. My attentions turned to friday night now. Hopefully get something then. Would love to be up north under one of those storms right now though. They are humdingers
  10. I reckon at some point mate.Showers heading out of France should produce in an hour or 2 surely . Not much electrical activity but horribly humid and the heat of the day should get things going. Or not. Lol
  11. Walking to work now and the sky looks filthy. Very warm and humid too. Thinking I may of heard distant thunder from the south west
  12. Loads of heavy showers coming up from France. Just as Iim off to work. Gonna miss out on any activity this morning.
  13. Yeah, lots of promising sighns this evening, but not feeling confident. Shall havean ear oopen tonight though
  14. Shame nothing can get going here. Looked quite promising earlier. Sky looked very angry, seems as though we're not going to get much from this plume set up down here in the west country. Still plenty of summer left though.
  15. Chance for my area tomorrow evening according to netweather storm risk , and again friday afternoon/evening.
  16. Storms or not, these high temps and the build up of checking forecasts etc , still all good.
  17. According to the bbc weather a couple of minutes ago, central and Eastern parts are favoured for storms this coming week. Still good potential for us western folk though i think
  18. Wish I could remember the date of a storm which hit here. July/august 2001/2002 , , something like that. I remember hearing on local radio about a huge thunderstorm heading towards me which waös over Yeovil. I was stood at the window looking and waiting but nothing for 2 hours, then a distant rumble. Once over me it lasted from 2am until 6am then slowly moved north but then strangely moved back south my way, not sure what happened there but that was probably the best British storm I remember. Constant cgs and torrential rain. Wish I could remember the date, its always bugged me.
  19. Hopefully william. Bit of a different situation to what we're used to I suppose what with the forecasted temps. Not had anything like this for a few years, so will be interesting to see how it pans out.
