  1. Currently on the edge of the cold front that brought torrential bursts of rain during today. Clear for about 20km to the west but anvils on the horizon. Showers? lol
  2. What happened - where did summer go? I hate having loads of rain but I guess the gardens need it. As supposed to persistent heavy rain, there were intermittent bursts of torrential rain and so it has resulted in 10mm of rain - the same as Monday's heavy rainfall. The temperature only reached 19C.
  3. Clear and sunny to the east - cloudy and threatening to the west. Now quite cold and qindy with leaves falling off the trees!!! 15C
  4. It's been sunny until about 3pm when light cloud started to blow in from the west. Expecting rain withing the next 24 hours. Top temperature was 23C at 2.30pm.
  5. Isn't it amazing how the weather can be like Spain one day and Norway the next. Yesterday had blue skies and a high of 25C whereas this morning I was woken up by the sound heavy rain on the trees in my garden - I left the window open last night. Wet and miserable it is. The BBC say it will brighten up later on and my website is also saying that to some extent. Please visit my website at www.cyclonia.zoomshare.com
  6. It's been clear and sunny all day with a high of 25C despite the BBC saying 22C. Ths ky is now becoming hazier and a lot of cirrus to the west.
  7. After a low of 10.5C last night - its is now clear and sunny with a temperature of 15.5C in the shade. Might do some sunbathing while the sun lasts. <_<
  8. I wish it had been that warm everywhere else in the UK because I sure wouldn't have taken it badly. It's been sunny and warm all day but clouded over about 15 minutes from the NW but the winds coming from the SW ? Current temperature is 22.5C with the sun not shining but clear skies are on the way again. Enjoy the rest of your weekend while it lasts because a taste of October is to come.
  9. Another sunny day with a nice warm temperature of 23.5C. After a spell of cloudy and spots of rain at 10 this morning, it has now cleared and the afternoon is lovely.
  10. Dry and clear with a cheesy-coloured full moon. Lots of stars but suddenly chilly. Maybe a frost tomorrow.......................................................Sorry, did I say a frost? No, I actually meant temperatures into single figures.
  11. Now partly cloudy - the sun having just gone down. Highest Temperature: 21C Current Temperature: 17.5C Total Rainfall: 7.5mm (Thu 18.00 - Fri 18.00) The weekend doesn't look too bad either.
  12. Bright and sunny with only fairweather cumulus.
  13. May I ask where Ponteland is?
  14. Now quite pleasant with alot of sunshine. Dark clouds towards Bristol though. 21C
  15. Here's the beastie I photographed whilst on the moors. I had to rush home to make sure it didn't deluge on me. As I type, the downpour has actually started up and it's BUCKETING down with rain and I think there's a bit of hail mixed in.
  16. Narrowly missed a potentially torrential downpour. I was sitting at my laptop just doing my normal stuff when I heard a huge 'Wow' said by some kids in the street. I looked out and I could see the biggest downpour - possibly a microburst since the 11th January 2004. I chased after it and looked down a moor road and literally yards away, was the edge of the downdraught. However, where I stood, one spot of rain hit my nose. I'll post a photograph.
  17. Raining heavily - where the hell did it come from?
  18. Heavy rain overnight but now sunny and dry with a top temperature of 21C.
  19. There is definitely some thundery activity going on up there. The sky to the north is a hazy blue but to the south its almost black and I'm beginning to wonder whether my rain guage will overflow. There is certainly a sense of 'thunder in the air'.
  20. There has been a notable crack of thunder towards the southwest herer in Yatton but I'm not sure which direction it's going in. There's intermittent sunshine here but it looks like it could go up the Severn Estuary.
  21. The sun has gone in again and the sky has become even more threatening. Here's a picture of the sky at the moment.
  22. Well fine wine - I have a friend who went to Brighton today and it was 31.2C according to his car 'exterior' thermometre. In Bristol, the top temperature was 27.5C. It is now sunny again but the sky is rather dark and threatening towards the west and south. Maybe a storm?
  23. It was clear adn sunny all morning adn into the middle part of the afternoon but now the clouds are building up and it looks like we might get some thunder later. Rainfall: 0.0mm Temperature: 26.5C
  24. A lovely clear evening with stars but a slight haze and fog over the moors. Quite muggy as well. 19C.
