  14. Now dry, cloudy, cold and windy. Temperature reached 16.5C this afternoon but has now fallen to 8C and with a wind chill factor - much much colder! Brrrr
  15. Just had a light shower but sunny again and quite warm. 17C.
  16. Quite blustery now with currently a line of cloud overhead. No rain so far but took some very good incus photographs and there are quite a few showers in the Bristol Channel at times. Temperture 14C.
  17. Pinch punch first of the month and no returns. A flick and a kick for being so quick and no returns. A poke in the eye for being so sly and no returns. It's been a lovely morning here with plentiful sunshine. Was much cooler last night with 8C as a low. A lot of showery activity about to the south of me (the Mendips and further south). Quite blustery.
  18. Now damp and muggy and quite still after another heavy shower about ten minutes ago. Gone up to 14C again. Weird.
  19. Just had a very heavy downpour with strong winds and the temperature has dropped from 17C to 13C. Still muggy though. Maybe not such an uneventful end to the month.
  20. Just had quite a heavy shower. Now raining lightly again and grey. Still warm at 18C.
  21. A nice and warm day but what a miserable end to what has been a warm month. What the hell happened. Nothing has changed today. It has been cloudy all day with frequent showers. I hear of torrential showers elsewhere but here I got soaked in a matter of minutes by what I judge as torrential drizzle. However, temperatures got up to 20C for two inutes when the sun came out. Currently cloudy with a moderate shower passing through.
  22. Had a lovely day today after last nights torrential rain and howling winds. The strongest gust was 65MPH at 9.23. Anyway, it was sunny all day until about 16.00 when light stratus began blowing in. The top temperature was 18C - not bad with light winds. Now thick cloud with very light rain. 13C.
  23. Between 9.00pm and 9.30 or just after, there was torrential rain, very strong winds causing the rain to go horizontally, and to flashes of sheet lightning. No thunder though. Impressive! The BBC say that the tornadoes that whirled around Northern Ireland and England were unsuaul but were to become marginally more frequent.
  24. Woke up to a glroious start with clear blue skies and sunshine. Stayed sunny until 10.00 then clouded over and became increasingly dull. The wind picked up by lunchtime and it rained very heavily for an hour but is now coming down steadily with gusts of 35MPH. Current temperature 9C after a high of 16C. Brrr.
  25. Sunny at the momoent and quite warm at 17C. Windy with showerclouds dotted around.
