    Anybody done the park and view for Riat? Thinking about going to Rhymes Farm....aiming to be there for around 08:30 on Saturday(hopefully thats early enough to get a place).

    Looks like i'll struggle to get into work tomorrow(south west Trains) due to reduced service etc....surely they are basing these cancellations on guidance from the Met Office etc.....if things have downgraded(which they look like they have) cancellations etc seem a bit OTT. http://www.southwesttrains.co.uk/alerts.aspx#1807D9E5C7196047E6E86CED08CA6BF4

    This part of Surrey wont see anything....i will bet my house on it......anything that makes it across the channel will shift east up the dover straits..........like it always does.

    Eastbourne Airshow.......To go or not to go? Couple of hours drive and dont want to be sat up on beachy head in the rain? Looks like the arrival time of rain may be later than first thought so might be a goer

    Wasn't expecting any thunder here but was expecting at least a good soaking......Sat in a lovely dry sport courtesy of the surrey hills...no rain at all so far.

    Can't buy a storm in this area....well and truly in a dry slot........one rumble of thunder at about 3:30 this morning and that was it............bone dry. For those of you getting the storms..........enjoy!

    Annoying cloud here in Surrey......V.Warm when the sun does come out though. Forecast of unbroken sunshine is a bit wide of the mark(at least for here anyway).

    Im slightly confused by some of the updates on here this evening, yes its the same old same old whereby the MCS has taken a turn east to avoid the UK again.....However the models did show this to happen and any possible storms for us were not due until the early hours through until tomorrow lunchtime.....or have i misunderstood things? Think its too early to right things off just yet.............

    Latest Precip charts suggest only those areas in the extreme SE will see anything significant overnight, certainly doesnt look good for areas West of London
