    good luck to those in the risk areas today, in a strange way im happy that we are not in the areas forecasted storms as i wont get my hopes up for it just to end up being another let down....looks like somewhere in the midlands northwards will get a severe storm today though although they could be fairly isolated.

    Couldn't buy a storm in Surrey lately. Used to be very different just a couple of years ago but so so poor recently.

    Amiens storm now tracking more North East so looks like it will miss the UK entirely

    You are as are the majority of people not in the Extreme South East, even they may miss out.

    Half tempted to head down to the Sussex/Kent coast this evening as little chance of anything here.

    Just got back from Kings Hill Kent, Surrey in comparison is like the Sahara desert, doesnt look like there was much rain at all in comparison to the Deluge in Kent

    Rest assured they'll probably evade us here in Surrey like they normally do! Would gladly swap for hot/sunny weather, been miserable here today despite forecasters saying it was going to be the best day of the week!

    Eastbourne Airshow Thurs - Sunday, looks like it could be a washout, got to feel sorry for the organisers if it is.

    Looks like a spell of heavy thundery rain for most with the odd isolated storm maybe thrown into the mix......Expecting a fair bit of rain here but not a lightning show.

    Crazy scenes here, a few drops of rain in the air and winds gusting to 7mph....Yes i know its going to rain a bit later but this as usual has been over hyped on forums...

    Couple of miles East, it's really nothing special, sporadic high based lightning a bit of a letdown

    Lightning to the West and distant thunder....not very frequent though.......Bed soon!

    Going to RIAT tomorrow and offsite at Rhymes farm on Saturday.....cant wait!

    I guess the only good thing is that the majority of these storms are going to be home grown rather than imported(didnt realise that until last night!!) So could literally pop up anywhere so im trying not to get caught up too much in the map graphics today and will just wait and see.

    Now I'm confused after seeing the estofex forecast which goes against many showing the SE in with a chance, can't make my mind up whether to head west or stay put tomorrow evening will just have to watch the radar and make the decision as it unfolds I guess
