Does anyone remember the March 2005 event? I think it was very isolated to elevated places in north kent. I was off work as I thought something special might happen and we had about 9 inches in a day. I think it was a low that came in though the channel with cold air coming in off the continent and it stalled. marginal as it rained lower down but we had a sweet spot. Amazing for March.
I'm getting some good vibes about a weeks time but as always marginal events for us.....keep the dream alive lol
Oh what I'd love for a 1987 repeat though.....
I'm surprised the met office haven't covered their butts and extended the warning down through the south east as a precautionary measure, considering many have snow showers already today and its not til this evening it'll get interesting.
As they always say - get the cold in first then anything can happen. Especially for us in the south east when a slight wind direction change can have a huge impact
There's a lot of showers suddenly popping out in the north sea and up along the north kent coast. Shows there's currently the right conditions to make things interesting
You never know it'll be close. If Greenhithe gets snow and you dont....lets not go there lol. I wouldn't be surprised to see a streamer form somewhere. Nice to see at the end of November. There was snow this morning between Dartford and Gravesend along the A2.
I've just noticed you've gone from 1m asl to 150m. Maybe I spend too much time on here lol. You must be happier and looking forward to the winter season at that height. Less frustration hopefully
An interesting piece from the editor of the herald today on St Maarten. Giving some background on previous hurricanes and how he thinks they'll fair this time round
